^ Nothing in the movie contradicts that.
^ But certainly, they'd appear in the news with Wolverine in his real outfit and both of their faces would be seen.
Okay, I'm willing to backpedal just a bit on Logan being recognized since he had a scruffy beard, a different hairstyle and looked older (I even thought that X-24 was Liev Schreiber at first and then realized that he was a clone of Logan) but what about Charles?
His name was Xander Rice, and he said his father was one of the weapon x scientists Logan killed when he escaped the program.Who even was Richard E Grant by the way? I might have missed something, didn't he say he was the son of someone involved in Wolverine's original Weapon X transformation? Obviously not Stryker's kid, so was it just randomer involved in it?
Rice said during his final confrontation with Logan in the woods that he and his people released something that wiped out all of the mutants so they could start over with their own breed of mutants they could control.Yeah I thought that too. What did Logan say again, there haven't been any new mutants for... 15 years was it? Something like that. I guess if this five or so years after DOFP, and then they were maybe 10 years old... it's possible. But then it's not like there wouldn't be any mutants left in the world of 'Logan'
That's what I meant about the "What If" thing. Why would all the mutants be nearly gone? In Children of Men no one has been born in 18 years, and yes technically humans are dying out, but there's still plenty of people about! And it wasn't like there were only ever meant to be a handful of mutants around the world; in the Cerebro scenes in all the movies mutants are basically everywhere.
The fighting was impressive and I was especially impressed when she started speaking spanish and wondered if she was actually a spanish speaker. Turns out she is. I didn't know that going in.After this, I think Dafne Keen will have quite a career ahead of her if she continues acting.
Like I've said before, this movie works best in context. We had to have those other movies in order to get to this one.It was nice to get a smaller, character driven superhero movie that really took it's time with the characters. Don't get me wrong, I love the big spectacle movies like the MCU movies, and the main X-Men series, but this was a nice change of pace.
I was wondering if she possibly has some dance or martial arts training, she definitely moved like she does. The fighting was impressive and I was especially impressed when she started speaking spanish and wondered if she was actually a spanish speaker. Turns out she is. I didn't know that going in.
I hope so.I wonder if she'll keep the part of X-23 going forward.
No he definitely woke up in "the future", or his present as he was concerned, 2029, just altered. There's even like the kid from the very start of DOFP there at the school. Are you sure about that? I thought he woke up around our time. X3 hadn't happened and the characters we saw, Jean/Cyclops/Xavier hadn't seemed to have aged.

Oh yeah sorry, I still had Logan's date in my head.2023, supposedly ( though the date was not given in the film, that's what you get if it's fifty years after 1973 )
God damn, that is probably the best Wolverine movie since... Uh, never. (was not a fan of the other two)
Probably my movie of the year right now.
The action set pieces in this movie worked because they were not constrained with the rating, no more giant robots or train fights, just straight up stabbing and dismembering people. Great stuff.
Will and Logan theorized that they might have been sabotaged by the guys who were harassing the family.Yeah, I liked the auto-trucks on the highway, at first I was confused on what was going with these trailers just flying down the highway with no semi pulling them but then it clicked that it's "the future" and that they were automated shipping trucks. Pretty cool. (Not *entirely* sure how that works and, well, they didn't seem too smart on avoiding collisions on the highway.Even self-driving cars, or cars with auto-braking, will come to a stop for an obstacle and not try and to maneuver around it.
Oh god. Imagine Mutants existed with Trump in power....Just saw Logan..Hands down the best X-men verse movie! One question that I did have was that the a lot of the movie took place going between the boarders of Texas and Mexico in 2029. But I did not see the Trump's boarder wall.
12 years. And I wonder if smartphones and TVs will look like they did in the movie. Media technology has been progressing at an alarming rate over the last decade or so. What will happen in another 12? Or will things level off?It was 9 years in the future, yet we didn't see holograms and hover cars everywhere.
I did jokingly whisper that to the friend I was watching it with.Just saw Logan..Hands down the best X-men verse movie! One question that I did have was that the a lot of the movie took place going between the boarders of Texas and Mexico in 2029. But I did not see the Trump's boarder wall.
