It's a bit like that time Voyager's entire senior staff were assimilated but none of them lost limbs or even eyes.

And suffered no lasting psycological effects.

Almost like it never happened.

TBF by that point the Borg had turned into an absolute joke and Janeway was pretty much able to walk into the Borg Queen's headquarters and slap her in the face whenever the writers felt like it.

That was the worst part of the episode. You can now simply suppress assimilation and completely undo it. But the Borg quickly adapted, so it was only possible for a brief time.

The TNG Borg although awesome were simply actors wearing vests with mechanical protuberances and white powder all over them, while later in First Contact and VOY they became zombiefied with veins and milky white skin with much more machinery attached! I got the feeling that these Borg had their limbs and organs replaced where as in TNG they were only covered in cybernetic parts which operated through their bodily systems! :borg:

If you watch QWho there's quite a few Borg who have their eyes and mouths replaced by mechanical parts and who have quite elaborate machinery instead of arms, especially in that scene where it shows the Borg linking to regenerate their cube.
Sure it still looks like cheap props, but its there.
From what I remember the Borg costumes in FC and VOY did look better made, but also had less variation than the ones from QWho

I surmised that the Borg in Q Who were having the mechanical devices grafted onto their limbs rather than the later versions which had replaced arms, legs, eyes with cybernetic attachments instead! :borg:

It would have been cool if they had Picard wear a glove for the rest of the series due to the arm graft

They're all good, and nicely, in the big picture, similar enough, not distractingly different, but I think the simplest first look is the best, though again the second is really close and a good progression of it.

The story was an awesome part of the Star Trek legend and Picard's sinister new identity of Locutus, with his knowledge of Federation ships and technology made him the greatest enemy of the entire TNG series!!! Plus the second outfit was his best I've always thought! The Playmates figure is from that description and long held to be one of the best! :borg:

And yet others lost limbs and organs in the transplant to machine superiority! :borg:
