Live Fast and Prosper: Loved it!

I'm into season 6 of my Voyager rewatch. Haven't been watching the episodes in order but am focusing on watching ones I haven't seen or can't remember. This episode was a gem.

What really made the episode was the Tuvok impostor. Once he went into the character of Tuvok, he never came out. They could have handled the meeting between the faux Tuvok and the real Tuvok a bit better, but it was still the highlight of the episode.

I also cracked up when the alien captain tells the real Janeway that he had "paid for his Federation membership."

:guffaw:

The whole episode was hilarious from start to finish. So many fine moments.

"Nice hair."

And, of course, Tuvok's dire warning about psoriasis.

The Janeway/Tuvok comedy team AKA good cop/bad cop will always be my fav part of that ep. :)

Nearly as good as season 7's "I already have a man" line in "Critical care." :guffaw:

Loved it, too. One of the best of season six (though I like that season more overall than some.)

The faux-Tuvok was great: he *really* got into his part. I kind of feel bad for him. He was far less nasty than the other two. He would have made a fun recurring character if, for some reason, he requested asylum and Voyager had to let him remain on board.

Now that's an interesting idea. He did a great job with the Tuvie worship. :)

Oh yes, this is one of my favorites! I especially love how the faux Tuvok looks upon the real Tuvok (at the end) as if he is almost a god. Such a fun ep!

And, of course, Tuvok's dire warning about psoriasis.

That is the only memorable part of this episode for me.

Seriously, I think someone gave Paris a lobotomy after Basics. He just became stupider and stupider.

And Neelix spent how long as a trader? Shouldn't he be able to recognize a con when he sees one?

I'll admit, the Tuvok/faux-Tuvok in the cave was funny:

"Commander Tuvok... Logic would indicate that neither of us has the advantage."
"Your logic is flawed."
But this episode was just another VOY clunker that we got in the later years.

Well, remember how nice Neelix is. He's somewhat naive, really. If he was more bitter and cynical, he would be better at recognizing those traits in others. Neelix believes that everyone is good at heart, so he has a hard time dealing with those who aren't.

I just feel that with all his years as a trader, no matter what his personal outlook on people, he should be able to see some cons coming.
