Listen, and other random musings

I liked some of season 5 but it felt a bit like it was the Amy Pond show with the added intro we got before the opening credits each episode with her voice over. But having watched the show over the years via box sets and such I found that for me series 8 and 9 were the ones I'd repeat the most.

I feel ever since series 5 the companions have taken a larger role and sometimes overshadowed the Doctor to a degree.

You've met Rose Tyler right? And Martha, and Donna...

Teenager? Freema Ageyman was 27 when she filmed season 3 and given Martha was supposed to be a senior medical student, I'm guessing the character was meant to be in her early 20s at least.

Yeah I know but the way they wrote here she was sometimes annoying. Why did the companions all have to go goo goo at the Doctor?

Donna was and is still my favourite, and I have never been happy with what they did to her at the end. Poor thing.

I too think that it was really something under the blanket besides a kid. Everything was set up so that you get to have your cake and eat it too. If you want to believe the Doctor was right, there are clues left to point in that direction and if you don't want to believe it, then there are clues for that as well. I actually kind of liked the barn part myself.
