That Vulcan priest that fixes Archer at the end looks alot like the Romulan First Officer Tal from TOS "The Enterprise Incident". Oh wait...
And just why does T'Pau not have a thick accent?

Why does the Kir'Shara need translating? Isn't it in Vulcan?
The Kir'Shara is probably in an ancient form of the Vulcan language and needs to be translated in order for Vulcans of Star Trek's time to be able to understand it.
For the same reason "Beowulf" has to be translated in order to be comprehensible at all to today's readers.

The Kir'Shara should be easy to translate mainly because Katra of the person that wrote it resides in the old priest. At the time of it's creation the level of tech on Vulcan was ahead of our current tech. Since "those who march under the raptor's wings" were able to leave the planet and setup shop on Romulus.

Las episode I watched was "Embracing The Winds" from Star Trek Continues. Loved the references to George Takei's childhood and to Star Trek Enterprise's Trip tucker!
