VOY - The Omega directive.

"The final frontier has some boundaries that shouldn't be crossed" ...this is the Trek I love.

After all these years, I just now noticed that Giotto wore two solid braids, which would have made him a full commander, outranking both Scotty and McCoy, but he is referred to as a lieutenant commander in the episode.

Spock is also referred to as a Lieutenant Commander in "Tomorrow is Yesterday", even though he wore two solid braids. Everyone wasn't on the same page yet. In universe? They were promoted but the paperwork making it official hadn't caught up yet.

Which is silly. Atomic energy will likely power us to explore the solar system. People said the same thing about it.

TOS "Space Seed" on MeTV.
Two things that Scotty said really bother me.
First. He says that 'he's always had a sneaking admiration for this one (Khan)'. So can we infer that Scotty knew who Khan was all along and didn't bother to tell anyone?
Second in regards to Milton. he says "I'm ashamed to admit as a Scotsman I'm not up on Milton." Milton wasn't Scottish. He was English from London.
Also it bothered me that when Kirk finds out he has a 20th Century war criminal on board. Who could take on everyone including Spock. Kirk orders that Khan's door is locked and one and only one guard assigned outside his quarters. He gave more importance to storage compartments full of wheat. He should have posted two guards immediately outside Khan's door. Two more across the hall facing the door. Then two more pairs stationed 25 to 30 feet down both ways in the corridor. Or better yet; assign him new quarters in the brig.

The Dauphin

Underrated little gem of an episode, and the blu-ray remastering is simply perfect.

TOS: The Menagerie: Parts 1 and 2, streamed on Netflix.

1. When Spock is wrestling with Chief Humboldt in the Starbase 11 data center, he nearly knocks over the large computer that he had been tampering with. A real piece of equipment that size would have weighed 500 pounds, and probably would have been bolted to the floor.
2. Lt. Hansen is a bit of a goofball. Would have liked to see Sulu in his usual place instead, but he must have been on leave that week.
3. The budget was obviously stretched to the limit, as Scotty and McCoy are noticeably absent from part 2.
4. Spock is wearing two solid braids, yet is referred to once again as a Lt. Commander.
5. Pike refers to the "Space Vehicle Enterprise" , instead of calling it a starship.

At the end of "Enterprise: Season 2". I lost interest after watching season 2.
Anyone who hasn't re-watched "Enterprise" series - What are you waiting for???? They are now into Season 3-4 on H & I here and this is the "Xindi" series with the best battles, aliens, yet as Archer and crew set out to save Earth from being destroyed!! When I attended STLV this year, I saw more Enterprise uniforms than what was on the ship itself.

BTW, if you've been following NASA & JPL you would know that NASA DOES have a deep space ship they want to build (They are calling it "ENTERPRISE IXS" and a EM propulsion engine that they claim works better than a Warp drive now exists. We are practically right where Archer & crew were BEFORE the Enterprise NX-01 left space dock. Now, all we need is some "alien" race to come down and try to stop us like the Vulcans tried. So, this bears the question Who wrote those episodes about Cochrane & Archer, and the meeting with the Vulcans the first time??Whoever it was foretold OUR future without realizing it! Looks like we are heading out to Space after all, doesn't it?

DS9 "The Dogs of War" on H&I.
An extremely good episode with the notable exception of part of it jumping the shark when Rom is made Grand Nagus. WTF? I would much more liked to have seen Quark change Zek's mind about retiring.

DS9 "What You Leave Behind" Part 1 on H&I.
You can't trust those darned Cardies. They switch sides at the drop of a hat.

TOS: Mirror, Mirror, streamed on Netflix.

A great episode, and just what I needed to push the rest of the world out of my mind for an hour.

I loved how Garak just burns down Weyoun to shut him up once and for all.
Just how long would the female Founder get locked up for? How long can she live?

Added to say I loved the secondary actors showing up at Vic's party out of makeup.
And did I see Doug Drexler?
