Though a "bottle episode" it has a good, strong suspense quality to it.
Stephen Brooks as Garrovick; well played; should have used him again; he came from "The F.B.I." series.
If memory serves, the episode was written by Art Wallace, who worked with Dan Curtis on "Dark Shadows", creating certain "vampiric" elements; after the "creature" was draining crewmen of their blood.
Note: in certain scenes, Shatner (as Kirk) seems "stuffed up" like he'd had a head cold while filming.
Got to see antimatter in a "magnetic bottle". and the antigrav unit.
I believe this was John Meredyth Lucas' first producing episode after Gene L. Coon's departure.
