The only thing I really didn't like about Limp Bizkit were the lyrics--I thought they frequently were corny, immature, and used a lot of cliches--but I did like their music overall. I thought they had one of the better funk-thrash bassists out there and really fused hip-hop and hard rock sounds well. I thought their last album was actually their best and showed a little more range, although it didn't have many radio hits.

Didn't know they were making a new album, though. I thought they had quietly went out to pasture after the last one was only a brief blip on the radar...

My brother and I were at Family Christian Stores the other day (his idea) and I saw a new Stryper album. My brother says "Awesome! Those guys still rock!". It took several seconds for me to compose myself without breaking into hysterical laughter.

I saw them interviewed on a music show years back - the drummer said that he sets his kit up sideways-on to the audience as it looks better. Poodle haired, stripey spandexed, sideways posing God Rocker. It's almost too funny.

Yeah, musically, they weren't terrible. It's just Fred Durst I didn't like (although, iirc, their guitarist left and a lot of their musical, uh, talent, left with him).

:guffaw: So true. Heck I'd probably rather listen to Limp than Nickelback. But then I'd rather listen to Cliff Richard before either of these bands.

Limp Bizkit is a joke now. Nu Metal isn't popular anymore (thank goodness)

And an old flatmate of mine said that Nickelback were awesome like Nirvana. These two bands should never be compared.
 
I heard an interview back when Nickleback first started where Chad Douchbag said that he was influenced by Nirvana. I couldn't help thinking, what fucking Nirvana was he listening to? Is there some shit ass, drunk douche, ego inflated, cock rock 80's repressed homosexual Nirvana that I'm not aware of?
