New day and time for Life. Now, instead of no one watching on Friday nights (and being trampled by Numbers), no one will watch because it's on opposite Criminal Minds.

Crews investigate the murder of a woman found sitting at a table set for a romantic dinner for two. They find that she had won the lottery and they talk to members of her lottery winner support group.

Whose stupid idea was it to bring the Captain and Reese together? This relationship is ruining her. I don't care about the Captain. I don't want to see him this much. The relationships that work...Ted/Crews and Crews/Reese.

This ep was okay. I'm glad Crews brought the girl to his home. I didn't understand why he didn't house her with him in the first place. Should make for some interesting times.

I felt for the lottery winners. They were kinda pathetic, but still...good guys.

Reese and the Captain better have a damn good payoff, otherwise this will have been a waste of time and character assassination.

They've lost the plot. This show worked because of the mystery. It was intense. Now, not so much. Rachel is safe. Papa Reese is off somewhere. The former partner isn't around much. The kick ass, highly questionable captain has been replaced by a skeevy asshole. Dani is out of her mind and in the tightest jeans/pants I've ever seen on a cop. Ted is Ted. Loves. And my honey, Crews, isn't as hard and quirky as he used to be. I miss S1. Are there new writers?

Doesn't help that NX 01 Mark seems to think it'll be canceled soon. Crap!

This episode was the first I've seen this season.

I know they "wrapped up" the whole murder/frame storyline.

Three questions:

1. Any major ongoing storyline this season?
2. Who is the young female roommate?
3. How did Ted get injured?

Thanks for the info.

--Ted (not THAT one :) )

The Crews framing hasn't been solved yet. Charlie still doesn't know who the big bad masterminds are, and Jack Reese isn't the top banana. In fact, it seems like they might be making him an unwilling participant.

The young female roommate is the daughter of the couple Charlie was framed for killing and the killer (Titus Welliver) had taken in as his own daughter when Charlie found them in season one. Jack Reese is also protecting her from the big bads.

There was an earthquake and Ted fell down. He was worried about the chandelier falling on him, but then noticed there was a pencil that had gone through his hand and was sticking out on both ends.

^ And Ted called Olivia, because the rest of the city was in earthquake chaos. Olivia pulled the pencil out for him, and they also had a bit of a romantic "moment." I'd love to see them get together.

I actually think this episode brought back some of what was missing last season. I still don't like Tidwell, but heaven help me, I don't loathe him quite as much as before. I still think he and Dani are WRONG for each other.

The frame/conspiracy is still very much there, and Jack Reese leaving Dani's mom strikes me as another strong hint that he's still under pressure from the mysterious 6-5-4 caller.

This week was the first time I've cared about Rachel since we found her. It was nice to see her making a connection with Charlie.

Charlie throwing the apple was great. The solution to this week's case was great - I didn't peg the bodyguard until just before the reveal. Compared to last season, this episode was average, but it was above average for this season. :)

Thanks for the answers, guys! I kind of figured they'd bump up the murder frame to another level of personnel.

I was skimming the reviews on Hulu, and I was AMAZED at how many people actually LIKE Tidwell. I find this completely unfathomable.

A little bit of NBC news for you:

Life goes on for “Life.”

NBC has ordered a full season of its low-rated drama, which recently moved to Wednesday nights. The series struggled to find an audience on Friday nights earlier this season, but saw its Nielsen numbers shoot up considerably—33%, to be exact—when the Peacock shifted it to 9 p.m. Wednesdays this week.

On the downside, “Life” attracted fewer viewers than the show it replaced, “Deal or No Deal.”

Nonetheless, NBC has decided to be patient with the Universal Media Studios-produced “Life,” which has generated the best reviews of any new NBC series in two years.

As for NBC’s other new fall shows, the network has ordered full seasons of “Knight Rider” and “Kath and Kim.” It has yet to make a decision regarding freshmen “My Own Worst Enemy” and “Crusoe” or sophomore hour “Lipstick Jungle.”

Well, and I haven't said THIS in awhile, good for NBC.

It stood by the incredibly low-rated first season of Cheers, and that worked out. Likewise CBS and M*A*S*H.

Good news! Thanks for sharing.
