I'm curious as to how those episodes will be handled — will they be allowed to air? Strategic reshoots with a different guest host (which could be a difficulty task if the losing contestants have skipped town already)?

I think they'll air them as it will create a lot fewer issues in the long run.

If they don't air would the contestants still get their prize money?

Yeah, they'll probably air them even if it makes the show look bad. They've put themselves in awkward position but they have nobody but themselves to blame. They knew about his past shitty behavior and yet kept moving forward as if it wouldn't matter.

The only people I feel bad for are the contestants who may have seen their one opportunity to appear on the show marred.

They have a continuing large winner returning (#3 in money now I think), so it's sort of important to see those shows.

One possible work around is to have another host do the intro and read the questions, then show the footage of the contestants answering, like when Alex had a sore throat that time. The only tricky bit is the interviews, but the contestants should have individual cameras on them at all times, regardless, so you can still have the question and answer just without showing both people in the same shot. I think it's doable.

the experiment of having everyone say whatever was on their mind publically for nearly a generation will long term almost negate a huge swath of persons from acceptable public life, though I suspect the backlash to it will be a lack of care of whatever was said before. Moral crusades don't have that much gas in their tanks.

Not like Mikey has done anything unlawful or particularly very bad. Just a pest and a moron. So his episodes should air as is, however many they recorded, then move on to the next host. Be the best thing to do. Unless in the meantime they find out anything worse, then yes, cut him out of the episodes.
Levar was a popular choice, hope he does get a good 2nd chance.

He first suggested Alex Faust, the play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Kings, or Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz. But, when asked to suggest a female replacement, Trebek named CNN legal analyst Laura Coates years ago on possible replacement.

None of them were guests right?

Wow, I didn't expect that. I was expecting maybe 1-3 months, but this was quick. Best thing they could do now is just be honest and upfront and not put everybody through another charade. Give Ken the hosting job, at least temporarily while they find someone else. Or heck, get Ben Stein. He had a fun trivia show awhile back. Nope, none of them were guests, which is weird considering the man himself suggested them. Now it's entirely possible they were asked and said they weren't interested, but it is a little fishy that they haven't been brought up in the bigger conversation.
