Let's predict The Doctor's Demise!

I think you mean Captain Jack on his lips, but other than that, yeah its a possibility. [/quote]

Maybe he'll die in Captain Jack's arms. I think I like that... er, sorry, went all fangirl there for a moment. :alienblush:

I don't think RTD will be able to resist the tendencies that have been on display all too much. That's his style. The best we can hope for is that he'll think of an unexpected twist on it.

Mr Awe

I seem to remember reading that DT had asked for a death in the vein of Davidson's Doctor, where the Doctor has to choose between saving himself and saving someone else, and of course sacrifices himself to save the companion.

Ever since I heard about the rumour of the Doctor being an old man I've thought it was a great idea. After hundreds of years there's no need to explain why the TARDIS console room looks completely different, and it's very easy to have a major past event like the Time War to wrap a mystery around.

It seems that River and the Doctor spent much of their relationship apart, hence why they need to compare diaries and she uses the psychic paper to call him. River also seems to know 10 as a much much older 10, who is well used to the sonic screwdriver having settings the Doctor hasn't even thought off.

If he doesn't trip over a brick, in some Babylon 5-esque thread of prophecy, I will write in and complain. If he does trip over a brick, in some lame attempt to crowbar in some prophetic continuity, I will write in and complain.

Can't accuse me of inconsistency. :D

I've thought it would be funny if The Doctor saves the universe from an over the top threat but then falls off a cliff right after acheiving his victory. :)

Maybe he'll slip on a banana peel. :techman: But seriously I suspect it'll be aslow death much like it was with Peter Davison.

Instead of falling off a cliff, he should knock his head on the TARDIS console and regenerate. We could even get Matt Smith to play the Tenth Doctor by putting on a wig and using some hokey special effects to cover his face until he regenerates into the Eleventh Doctor!

ive heard that somewhere before.

I'm expecting a Return of the King style ending where the Doctor dies about 4 times in a row before the Daleks finally drop a nuke on him and that does it

Maybe he'll die but then return as Doctor the White?

I guess as long as Ten isn't shot by gang members, then operated on by a 20th century medical team who have no idea what a Time Lord is, let alone how to treat one medically, it will be good...

;)

Actually, I have always really enjoyed the fact that no one ever beat the 7th Doctor. It was just random human incompetence that ended his life... ;)
