yep, didn't love episode 3, it didn't really feel like it went anywhere. Maybe it's been a while since I read the first book, but things feel like they've taken a big departure already, so not sure where we're going here.
In the book, Zed stayed behind healing for a while, leaving Richard and Kahlan some alone time, right? And then they eventually headed to the Mud People?
Add in the stuff about the book of counted shadows, and the barrier, and we're already way off the reservation, and it makes it more of a campy fantasy show rather than one related to the book series. On top of all this, when he was reading out of that book, it's not supposed to be because he is the Seeker, but because he's already got magic (war wizard). Seems like the sort of thing Zed should have mentioned, especially since Richard hadn't actually been annointed Seeker yet, so if it was from Seeker power, it was power had yet to receive...
At some point, Richard should probably get that lesson about how to use the sword, and why it does what it does, right? Another integral point dropped because kewl swordfights are more fun to watch...
