Law & Order General Discussion Thread

Warren Leight claims it's still happening, but he said that at the beginning of last year. So I just assume Law & Order: Hate Crimes has gone the way of Law & Order: For the Defense, Law & Order: Hellas Basin and Chicago Law & Order: FBI.

To reach out to a younger, hipper audience, the show will use lyrics that were written to the theme song by Gene Rodenberry which will be performed by the Jonas Brothers.

Looks like Season 21 will be set at a different precinct...according to the last SVU ep, the 27th (the setting for the first 20 seasons) has been moved to East Harlem.

Well that was fast. L&O Season 21 will return on Thursday, February 24. Blacklist will move back to Friday.

Maybe Jeffrey Donovan will play the senior detective, the junior detective, the supervising officer, the executive DA and the assistant DA, and then Sam Waterston rounds out the cast.

I know the real life reason is that Chris Meloni is the star of the show, but why was Stabler running around arresting all the gang members? It seems like an unnecessary risk for your star witness. I read that we'll be moving back to the Wheatley plot, so I'm prepared to be bored. And they've decided to character assassinate Barba by having him defend Wheatley.

That girl in SVU will be back as some kind of suspect again. I am glad to see Hadid gone, but Carisi's two new superiors were really cookie cutter.

Oh please God no, not Wheatley again... :barf:

Stick a fork in him, he's DONE.

Edit: I admit it was kind of nice to see that despite their having a "marriage of convenience", Albi and Flutura genuinely seem to care for each other. Even Albi looked pained when he and Flutura were being arrested.

I mean, it's obvious Albi doesn't give two shits about his boyfriend, but he does (on some level) actually love his wife.

I was fine with Wheatley the villain, but I disliked when we had his ex-wife starting crushing on Stabler and his son being insufferable to listen to. Wheatley's final plan of having a cop kill his ex-wife was also anti-climatic. He didn't seem like a smart villain.

I'm just glad this season of OC didn't have a mole (yet).

And I can't say I'm a hundred percent in love with the idea of the Mercy Killers being the focus of the next arc ...oh well, at least Congressman Kilbride (and whoever exactly the hell Mykelti Williamson is playing) make a HELL of a lot more interesting villains than :censored:ing Wheatley.

Maybe Brian Brophy will play the senior detective, the junior detective, the supervising officer, the executive DA and the assistant DA, and then Brian Brophy rounds out the cast.

Fixed that for ya. ;)

Brian Brophy has entered this thread? Oh my, I'm looking for an escape route right into the next CSI: Vegas episode.

Damn, I was hoping that Linus Roache would return. :(

As for that Christmas crossover: Why would Wheatley go on trial for Kathy Stabler's murder? Wasn't it Angela who was behind that?
