Which scale? 2 AU or 82 AU?

I knew someone was going to ask that...

Let's see. Reportedly, the miniature's about 8 inches long, or 20 cm. Decker says in deleted footage that V'Ger is 78 km long, so the scale is about 1/390,000. An AU is 149.5 million kilometers, so a 2-AU cloud would be 767 km across, roughly the size of France, and an 82-AU cloud would be 31,433 km across, or nearly 2.5 times the diameter of Earth. Estimate postage accordingly.

The Captain's Oath by Christopher L. Bennett. I was surprised by the size of the book. It'll take a while until I can start reading it, because I'm still busy with other Trek books.
I just got mine as well and was pleasantly surprised that it was the trade size.

Given the probably density of the cloud, it would be classified as a balloon package, and therefore "dimensional weight" rules would apply.

No postage really even necessary for this one. At that size, if it exists, you've basically already got it! :)

Received my copy of the 2020 Ships of the Line calendar today. Really nice crop of pics this time around. Especially like the Daedalus cutaway in the centerfold - makes me really wish we'd could get a book of Trek ship cutaways along the lines of the Star Wars Cross-Section books.

I got the season 2 Star Trek TNG dvds I really like alot of the Data shows in season two. I recently rewatched Elementary Dear Data I really like it alot. A fun episode.Measure of a man story is really good and I'm looking forward to watching it again.

New "Star Trek" arrivals! Three new CDs (“Music from the ‘Star Trek’ Saga” vols 1 & 2, and “Shufflin Tymes”), TOS novel “The Captain’s Oath” by Christopher L Bennett (Gallery, May, 2019) and IDW’s “Star Trek: Year 5” comic #3.

Also out last week: the third “Star Trek” from “Little Golden Books”. This one is an episode adaptation of “The Trouble With Tribbles” (TOS), entitled “Too Many Tribbles”. Adapted by Frank Berrios, illustrated by Ethen Beavers, and credited to the writer of the original screenplay, David Gerrold. The Klingons have pointed ears (as in the Kelvinverse movies and “Discovery) but there are pink tabards and some pink Tribbles, homages to the Filmation animated series.

Hallmark's "Star Trek: Discovery" Saru and Burnham Christmas ornament, “The Orville” comic #1, the finale (#6) of the crossover “Star Trek: The Q Conflict” mini-series, and the Eaglemoss Hero Collector hardcover on “The Klingon Fleet” (from Galaxy Bookshop).

The finale (#6) of the crossover “Star Trek: The Q Conflict” mini-series comes with a pair of covers that make the one picture (diptych). I preferred the limited edition version.

New Trek stuff for this week! Modiphius “Star Trek Adventures” TOS Landing Party figures (male and female Tellarites, Andorians, Vulcans and Denobulans and two male humans); Blu-Ray of the “Deep Space Nine” documentary, “What We Left Behind”; and a deep-discount 2019 desk calendar block. (I gave up in these block calendars when Amazon US made it hard for creating Australia-bound orders, so it was a great, unexpected pick-up.)

More this week: AMT ”Star Trek: The Motion Picture” model kit of Spock (I always resisted buying this in the early 80s - it is retooled from the TOS Spock kit, and omits the three-headed snake, at Roddenberry's request); plus a pack RPG figures from "Star Trek: The Next Generation"; and the latest Titan "Star Trek" magazine.

In my stash this week: IDW's "Star Trek: Year Five" #4 and Dark Horse's "The Orville: New Beginnings" issue #2.

IDW's alternate cover for "Star Trek: Year Five" #4 features a great JJ Lendl tourist poster for Sigma Iotia II, complete with cosplaying Andorian gangster:
