Latest acquisition!

Star Trek Archives: The Best of Captain Kirk.

Reprints DC Comics (2nd run) issues #7-12, covering the Sweeney and Trial of James T. Kirk storylines. Got it for $3.99 at Half-Priced Books. Also got a TOS Enterprise blueprint poster there for $6.99.

I got that Takedwon too, a few days ago. Cross Cult now dropped the numbering from their novels.

Have you read the Gotham novel yet? I've been wondering what it's actual plot is, the blurb on Amazon and Titan Books' page just describes the show.

The back cover blurb says: "A break in at Wayne Manor. The death of a masked intruder. Amid the seething crime and corruption of Gotham City, Thomas Wayne fights to protect his family and his company from forces unknown. While Detective Harvey Bullock investigates the incident as a simple burglary, Wayne discovers that the thief may come from his own dark past.

"Peeling back layer upon layer of secrets, this is the official prequel to the hit television series."

Does a prequel to a prequel negate its prequel-ness? Kinda like (-1)*(-1)=1? Or would that mean that prequel*prequel=sequel?

Sounds interesting.

I took advantage of the lowered e-book prices I mentioned in the thread I started yesterday, and got myself e-book copies of STTOS: The Weight of Worlds by @Greg Cox, and STTOS: The Wounded Sky by Diane Duane.

JD You'll like The Wounded sky by Diane Duane. It's one of the very first Star trek books I bought when it first came out. It's always been one of my favorite books. K'tlk is a original and most unique alien characters in the Tos books Diane Duane created.

I'm looking forward to it, it seems to be one of the big classics of Trek lit.

Caught up on a few 2016 books on Amazon that I had forgotten to order!

New Star Trek stuff
by Ian McLean, on Flickr

In two parcels from USA, I received: "For the love of Spock: special director's edition" documentary on Blu-Ray, "To boldly go: rare photos from the TOS soundstage, Season Two", the hardcover "Star Trek Beyond collector's edition" (making of...) and "Star Trek mad libs".
