Last movie you saw?

Finally watched Knives Out last night. I came across a spoiler a while ago as to who the killer is, so part of me was a bit "what's the point then".
... that red herring is build up so well, from the start, I was like "How on Earth will it turn out to have been Chris Evans, when we already saw that it was Ana de Armas?!"
Yeah, hype totally justified, great story, brilliantly told, and a fantastic cast, down to finally realizing that Great Nana was played by Lois & Clark's K Callan.

Now I'm really looking forward to the next Benoit Blanc movie.

Trial and Error (1997), with Michael Richards, Jeff Daniels and Charlize Theron. I found a "new old stock" DVD still sealed at a local used book shop, the old-style folding cardboard clicky case. So I decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the movie. I usually don't go for the rom-coms, but this one had less focus on the rom and more on the com. But man, DVD looks like garbage on a modern TV. The blocky visual artifacts, the aliasing... I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it was in a high-definition format.

King Kong 1976
Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange
It wasn't bad, although compared to the Peter Jackson one in 2005, which was magnificent, it looked it's age

Dusted of a nice 4K version of Rogue One last night. After watching the first 3 episodes of Andor the other night, it was like revisiting an old friend .... Much better than I remembered, even though it was, like, my 5th. viewing....

I've been doing a The Hobbit/LOTR Extended Editions rewatch to go along with reading the books.
This is my third time with The Hobbit movies, and at least my 5th or 6th time with the LOTREEs.
I realized that I've still never seen extended editions of The Hobbit movies. They're not streaming anywhere for free, and I never got around to renting them before I stopped paying to watch individual streaming movies.

I'm gonna wait to rewatch it after the show's over.
Same. Eagerly awaiting Andor's conclusion before dipping back in to Rogue One.

The Extended Editions of the Hobbit are hit and miss. Some scenes are really well done and others just drag on. I still think "An Unexpected Journey" is the best of the lot.

Halloween Ends 2D last night at the AMC Lufkin.

May go see it again, since AMC Tyler has BigD and IMAX as options.

Clerks III. That movie had no business being as good as it was. Smith actually delivered a movie almost on par with his best.

I watched the first Wesley Snipes Blade movie on Tuesday, and then my mom and I went to see Black Adam at the theater this morning. I enjoyed both movies quite a bit, although I will confess I fell asleep through some of the end of Blade, not because I was bored but just because I was watching at the time I occasionally doze off.

The Good Nurse last night via. Netflix. Jessica Chastain and Eddy Raymore both put in strong performances... Based on a true story and stays pretty close to those events... Very good drama, suspenseful; highly recommended... 8.5-9/10
