Last movie you saw?

Took my oldest nephew out last night to see The Suicide Squad IMAX at AMC Tyler. We both enjoyed it quite a bit, and stayed for the post credit scene.

The Act (it's actually a longer movie made from 8 episodes) a miniseries ////
With Patricia Arquette - based on a true story .....

Pretty high rated on IMDB.... great movie

Free Guy. it was ok, maybe a little longer than it needed to be. There was an annoying person in the audience who had to respond to things in the movie.

Away .... I just love this guy .... Timothy Spall. In this movie he's playing with Juno Temple.... another promising actress :)
I saw them both in Electric Dreams a sci fi anthology, but they played in different episodes.... Each episode is based on short stories written by Philip K. Dick.

Went to see Free Guy 3D at the Cinemark Lufkin earlier tonight. Fun movie, already have a ticket reserved to see it in IMAX on Monday.

Robocop 2. Miles apart from the first film. The first time I saw it was in a French cinema during a school exchange when I was 13. Not a problem for a load of school kids to be admitted to an 18 certificate film in France.

Watching Robocop 2 in a cinema in Poitiers when you're 13 and can't speak French is quite an experience.

Such people should be locked up ;) I remember watching Star Trek 09 near a guy who I swear at times was trying to have a conversation with the characters in the movie.

My last film was "A Bugs Life" part of my Pixar marathon.

Rewatched The Deer Hunter. I really like these old stupidly-long movies where there's no rush, no need for every scene to be full to bursting with essential dialogue that you'll need to remember for later or visuals with hidden meaning.

Went out to see Stillwater 2D and Respect BigD at AMC Tyler last Sunday. Went out Monday night to see Free Guy 2D at AMC Lufkin after cancelling the IMAX ticket. Just didn't feel like driving to Tyler two days in a row.

Just watched the recent movie version of "Cats". As someone who saw the musical, both as a kid and an adult, I can say that it was actually pretty good... Jennyanydots was funny, Idris Elba was fun to watch, and Grizabella's scenes were very affecting. And I liked the idea of presenting the story from an insider's perspective (Victoria).

Chief downside: while Judi Dench brought much gravitas to the part of Old Deuteronomy, I did miss the epic full-voice power of "The Ad-dressing of Cats" (the version we got sounded more like a lullaby). Also the "Pekes and the Pollicles" was cut. But by and large, a good show, better than its reputation suggested.

I watched Swing Kids from 2018 last night. That was a great tapdance film set in a pow camp during the Korean war. The ending of the story was very sad, but I loved every minute of that film. It was a funny, sad and moving film.

Went out to AMC Lufkin last night to see the new Hugh Jackman movie Reminiscence 2D.

Had the theater all to myself on a Friday night, too.
