Last movie you saw?

We Have Always Lived in the Castle
It's 8000 hours of noting, told in anachronic order for no apparent reason. Taissa Farmiga is excellent as the narrator. Unfortunately, her excellent performance is not enough to make this movie more than just barely watchable.

Wow, you must have started that one a long time ago.

Citizen Kane: I still don't get why we're supposed to care what "Rosebud" means?
I think it's supposed to be ironic. The final words of a man like Charles Foster Kane are supposed to be momentous and earthshaking, so those who hear it but don't know what it means might spend ages looking for some deep meaning in the word, when at the end all the guy wanted was (spoilers) a freaking toy. The idea is to give the audience an insight into the man's pyche that the other characters will never have.

The Olive Tree. (2016.)

A really heartwarming, and sometimes funny, indie Spanish movie about a woman's quest to save her grandfather's ancient olive tree.

Went to watch Joker Thursday night. Gonna have to go again, before I really form an opinion. For now, it seemed like quite a way to go just to show Bruce Wayne's origin story.

Went to AMC Tyler last night, watch The Addams Family (2019) on the BigD screen.

And I was watching Gemini Man IMAX, but the popcorn machine in the lobby set off the smoke detectors and everyone got evacuated & vouchers for a free ticket were handed out after Tyler Fire & Rescue sent two trucks out.

Once Upon A Time In The West

One of the funnest movies ever made.

Regarding Citizen Kane.

A great movie but undeserving of the “Best movie of all time” title. Incredible cinematography but poor pacing in the second half.

Regarding why you care what Rosebud is. I’m not sure it’s the audience that cares, it’s the biographers who see it as the key to their story. They are writing a story about a famous person and want their resolution. The audience cares what kind of person Kane was and why more than what his last words meant.
