Noisy (in a good way), but not nearly as "far out" as some I've seen...what story there was also could have been more cohesive. The previous Ishii films was better ('High School Panic').

Watched The Bob's Burgers Movie yesterday. We saw it when it originally came out in theaters and I really enjoyed it, and I've been meaning to watch it again since it popped up on Hulu, but I just hadn't gotten around to it until yesterday. The show is one of my favorites, and I thought the movie did a great job of expanding to scope and scale in a way that still fit in really well with the show.

Watched "The Flash" yesterday with hubby.

Had a few good parts but overall, the film was just kinda "Meh."

Cobb (1994)

Quite entertaining, especially if you like the usual Tommy Lee Jones fare, worth a watch, it's not really a baseball movie at all.

Been travelling a bit so haven't been to the theatre in a minute, but last big-name picture I saw on the big screen was Oppenheimer. I was really skeptical that my attention deficit-rattled brain would never be able to sit through a three hour screening. Couldn't stop watching even for a second--so, so good!

Failed at the Barbenheimer trend though. Going to have to wait for Barbie to come out on streaming...

Cobweb
A really frustrating film. 2/3 of it is quite good and intriguing (if sometimes clunkily written). You can see the end of 2nd act twist coming which means the whole film relies on the 3rd act sticking the landing… which it didn’t for me. There have been better films of this ilk.

Went to three movies yesterday, the last of them was The Last Voyage of the Demeter.

Felt kind of guilty, since it had the latest start time of the night, I was the only one in the theater, and as I left at not quite midnight, all the other movies in the nine screen theater were done. I was the last one there! Except for the three employees who would have to finish cleanup and close out.

Went to three movies on Labor Day, the last one of those was Blue Beetle 2D.

It was alright for an origin story, and decent for a DC superhero movie. But I had that, as with some previous DC releases, it teased a sequel that will probably never happen.

A suspense movie about a weak armed dude who's a music teacher or something, witnesses a murder and tries to weirdly solve the case after running into a room and incriminates himself by putting his fingerprints absolutely everywhere. (The Police don't seem to bothered with that and treat him as a kind of private detective for some reason?)

It's quite decent as an idea, I like the directing, the cinematography, the soundtrack is decent.

It's just a silly movie though, gets quite boring and kind of meanders about... near the end the movie's "saved" by some absolutely ridiculous and hilarious deaths.

It might be funny to watch with friends?

I watched Spider-Man: Homecoming for the first time since it came out in theaters las week.

Went to three movies over the weekend, the third one was The Equalizer 3. I enjoyed that one quite a bit, and may go back to watch it again after I rewatch the first two. Got to find those DVDs for cheap.

Watched a nice little movie on Prime the other day called "A Million Miles Away". Based on the true story of a migrant boy whom used to work with his family picking crops in the fields to eventually becoming a NASA astronaut. Pretty uplifting and a testament to hard work and following your dreams, as well as the sacrifice, love and support of family. Recommended...

One of my all-time favorites from Argento.

Hopefully you saw the original Italian version as the US version had substantial cuts removing a lot of great interplay between Hemmings and Nicolodi. Those edits definitely downgrade the character development. There is an especially great scene between them sitting in a parked car together that was removed entirely (I think).
