Last Classic Who Story you watched

I watched Warriors Gate. It wasn't very good, I could barely follow the story, and there are several parts I just didn't get (were the lion guys evil, or just a group of them?). Romana's leaving wasn't the best, but preferable to her just randomly falling in love with basically a background extra like Leela did. The E-Space Trilogy really ended up being mediocre overall, and thats not even taking Adric into account.
They were, they've learnt their lesson the hard way.

I just finished Tom Baker's last season in my continuous rewatch. Different from my previous rewatch I really liked the last couple seasons. It definitely helps that Tom was my first doctor that I watched as a kid. For me, he will always be THE doctor. But I think my favorite aspect to the Tom Baker seasons is the scant use of the Daleks, the Cyberrmen and the Master. They appear just enough but not retread over and over like the NuWho. The writers had no trouble coming up with original stories and villains to keep the series going. There were enough villains from this era to supply revisits for the 21st century doctors for many seasons without the incessant appearances of the same tired three villains. Anyway I would much rather watch the least interesting Tom series than almost anything since the reboot (except the Weeping Angels).

Warriors Gate was a very experimental show in terms of style. It didn’t go so well but it was cool to see the Beeb trying new things.
As for Adric. Well…….

I have two Ready Rooms and - with a little luck - the Beebo Saves Xmas special to watch tonight, but it'll hopefully be a slow enough Friday night shift to get most if not all of Planet of the Spiders done as well.

I'll be watching "The Three Doctors" shortly.

Even though William Hartnell had minimal presence in this, his role was much bigger than Tom Baker's in The Five Doctors!

And now onto Carnival of Monsters.

Now I'm on "Frontier in Space," which features one of the tropes that I can't stand, which is nobody believing the characters who know something that everyone else doesn't know. And it just goes on and on. :brickwall:

Edit: Finished "Frontier in Space," and now I'm onto "Planet of the Daleks." I hope they didn't just completely drop the Earth/Draconian/Master stuff from the last serial.

Well, work didn't get busy...it started blocking dailymotion. I guess I'm watching at home for the immediate future...

Your hope may be in vain.

I watched "Time and the Rani."
I do like Sylvester McCoy's Doctor better than Colin Baker's Doctor.

I just finished watching The Three Doctors. Here are the Classic Doctor Who episodes I have on iTunes for Windows:
Spearhead From Space
The Three Doctors
Carnival Of Monsters
The Time Warrior
Robot
The Hand Of Fear
Logopolis

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

On my complete rewatch I just finished Earthshock. As much as I dislike the overuse of the Cybermen now, I really liked the Classic Who use of them. I'm liking Peter Davison much more this time. Before I thought he was too low key, even boring. Maybe it was because after 7 seasons of Tom Baker I was so attached to his version of the Doctor. But now after having watched several series of his first season I appreciate his take on the Doctor much better. It's a good contrast with Tom's. I also have come to appreciate Adric much more. Like others I used to think Adric was very annoying, but I see what they were doing with his character. He developed from a spoiled know it all to someone who ended up sacrificing himself for everyone. I was sad to see him go this time.

Colin Baker suffered from mediocre writing and an interrupted tenure. But his Doctor really blossomed when he returned in Big Finish's audios.
While Colin seems like a very nice person, he's not a very good actor and that also impacted the show.
