In that specific season? Yes, that was the idea. I guess since they'd embraced having a regular setting and ensemble cast, they wanted to try having a regular villain too.

Yesterday for the anniversary, watched An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, City Of Death, and The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang (as a multi-monster rather than multi-Doctor story)

The 5'ish Doctors is hillarious. I have watched it quite a few times.

I got 3/4s of the way through Death to the Daleks last night (let's hear it for American Thanksgiving!). I begin tonight with part 4 of that story: let's see how far I get.

Just watched The Visitation tonight, cracking story.

I watched Warriors Gate. It wasn't very good, I could barely follow the story, and there are several parts I just didn't get (were the lion guys evil, or just a group of them?). Romana's leaving wasn't the best, but preferable to her just randomly falling in love with basically a background extra like Leela did. The E-Space Trilogy really ended up being mediocre overall, and thats not even taking Adric into account.
