Last Airbender trailer

This'll be known as "that other Avatar movie" and "M. Night Shyamalan's latest crapfest" to the uninitiated.

The casting is still stupid.

But then, it's a Shyamalan film; no way I'd be seeing it even if they had cast it properly.

^Yeah, but my point is that people who know this is based on a TV show aren't really "uninitiated." That word implies people coming into something with no prior knowledge.

I wish there the Avatar and the Water tribe didn't have typical white actor casting for ethically diverse roles(from the animated series).

I do like Dev Patel being Zuko, although since when I saw him in Slumdog all I kept thinking is "hey it's Anwar from skins!" it's gonna be weird seeing him play a bad-ass like Prince Zuko and burning shit down.

I'm talking about people who have heard of the show (such as myself) but not seen it. I consider myself uninitiated since I really have no idea what the show or movie is about besides the fact that it is based off of the TV show entitled Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I know what you mean, but I did get used to it as the film went on.

This movie looks pretty ace. I loved the shot of Aang entering the Avatar state. I have faith this movie is going to be pretty damned good

Anyone notice Appa? About ten seconds into the trailer, on the top left during the battle scene. He's difficult to see, but he's there.

So who will M. Night play in this movie?

Seriously though, it looks as good as I think anyone could reasonably expect for a movie based on a cartoon.

M. Night will play the mysterious Fire Nation soldier who will one day save the world and change it for the better for all time, of course!

I dunno, Shyamalan's kind of an understated guy, and the Cabbage Vendor needs to be more, well, hysterical.

That said, I'm sure A:TLA fans will be outraged if Cabbage Guy isn't in all three movies. :D
