LANTERNS vs JEDI

Okay..my turn..

My friend and i have had a running battle for years as to who would win in a battle between the Green Lantern Corp and the Jedi Knights...I don't even think this is a contest. I think the Lanterns would pulverize the Knights. What say you my SCIFI brothers and sisters???

Jedi would win because they have limited pre-cog abilities and don't need to charge their batteries. Of course, I think that it would be a close fight.

I think it would depend on how brutal the Green Lanterns are willing to be and if the Force can affect the Green Lantern's powers. The Green Lanterns could possibly create a giant green force wall and crush the Jedi.

Oh, no Rob. That's not what I'm saying. I KNOW the Jedi wouldn't actively try to stop it. Since I don't know much about the Green Lanterns, I just thought I'd ask if there were any stories that involved the Green Lanterns helping slaves become free from their oppressors. And if there are stories like that, even to the point where it's just one slave, than the Green Lanterns get my vote...

It's not even close, the Green Lantern's operate on an entirely different scale - in DCU terms the Jedi would be considered fairly low-level meta-humans. Hell Blue Beetle would take those guys down...

A single Green Lantern could take on an entire army of Jedi. All he has to do is put them in a power bubble! I doubt a lightsaber could cut through ring-energy. Even if it can, he can form a massive fist/wall to smash them to death.

The Jedi's of the movies wouldn't stand a chance. A single Jedi of The Old Republic who could cause entire armies to flee with a thought would own all those green boy scouts.

First, the Green Lanterns have encountered several beings with similar powers to the Jedi, including those with psychic ability (Hector Hammond) and magic (Myrwhydden) to name a few, and come out triumphant.

Second, the yellow lightsaber would only work against novice Lanterns now, those who have not overcome fear.
