I am appreciating Pine more through the pictures in this thread. I admit, I didn't notice his boyish charms during the movie because I was annoyed by his character (don't hate me, but I like TOS Kirk more than nuKirk so far). I can't pretend he isn't a beautiful boy after looking through some of these pictures though... wow!

Still, my heart beats only for Spock, who I love both in a shallow sense and as a character. I'm hoping I appreciate Kirk as a character more in the next movie, since we'll have more time to see him in the role of captain.

It's funny cause that's how I feel about nuSpock. I like Quinto, but I love Nimoy. It may be the voice. I think Spock's voice needs to be deep, imho, and I'm not use to not having that in Quinto. It didn't help that Nimoy was in the movie to showcase it. I think Quinto did a really nice job, but it was Pine's performance that stole the show for me.

Ultimately, Pine and Quinto were both great and so was their chemistry, and it made Star Trek great too.

Jeri, I loved it even more the second time around. I tried to pay more attention to the nuances of the actors' performances. After my initial viewing I thought the script was the weakest part of the film, but I found it a bit more compelling this time around.

dmleo, he probably would. And I have seen posters say things they thought were plot holes are explained with subsequent viewings. I think there is a lot going on the first time.

Pine is extremely pretty but Quinto is made of sex. And when you put Pine next to Quinto, Pine looks like a little boy.

The picture that Temis copied is my favorite from the set, too. He's got the intense, contemplative eyes going. Yeah, baby.... think harder!

I think Chris Pine was really hot as Kirk. But I also liked Quinto's Spock character as well..he really looked like a very young Leonard Nimoy. It was eerie! I also thought that McCoy was hot as well. And Chris Pine has a nice ass!

(By the way, Sylar has, by far, the best theme song on that show. Piano, bells and clock-ticking. It's awesome. Kind of sweet and eerie at the same time. Listen here: Official version | Simple piano version).

One of the best pieces of television scoring since Christophe Beck's heartbreaking "Close Your Eyes", the Buffy/Angel theme or Robert J. Kral's Drusilla's Nursery/Stalker-Wesley/Evil-Cordy creepy piano theme (I'm still ticked that it hasn't been released). It's quite memorable and on that level of awesome, IMO. I always love when Sylar's theme is played, because you know the scene is going to be epic and there's a strong likelihood of the scene having some kind of Gabriel/Sylar duality to it.
