I feel the same way. I wasn't feeling Quinto at all until I saw some of the pictures in this thread. I think he's attractive, but if I had my way with him, I'd insist he dress up as Spock for it.
Well, let's face it... Genre fans often go for pointed ears, fangs, occasionally a wacky prosthetic, odd makeup, etc...
And there are some guys who are so hot, they still look just as attractive under a bizarre amount of prosthetics, makeup or even some truly 'epic fail' hairstyles (looking at you, Spock). When they still shine through both physically and personality-wise is when you know they're something special to watch.

I disagree. It depends on the photos. There are times when Quinto looks like he's 19, the same is true for Pine. Some of the photos that was printed on this thread are intensely photoshopped, and in a lot of the pictures, Quinto is sporting stubble, and he looks older. The same is true for Pine. I find Pine pretty at all, otherwise I wouldn't find him attractive. Pretty reminds me of the Jonas Brothers type of guys. Pine is sexy and handsome. I find Quinto to be attractive too. There are pictures where Pine just looks older and more mature than Quinto and vice versa. I don't see "little boy" at all when I look at Pine (or Quinto), although I do see that with a lot of other younger actors in Hollywood, including that guy Patterson.
Urban looks great in that picture. He's not hotter. He's hot right along with them.
yeah, neither Pine nor Quinto are "boyish" in that Jonas Brothers/Pattinson kind of way.
they look their age, especially when not photoshopped. even un-'shopped, they have a worldly look about them that's different from the typical teen-heartthrob look.
I disagree about the Photoshopped/clean-shaven or stubble thing. Quinto looks his age (32) even when clean-shaven. He doesn't give off a little boy appearance at all. Quite the opposite, in fact. It's included in why he's been playing villains for most of his career. Even when he had his emo haircut when he was younger, he still looked like an adult and noticeably so.
Urban and Quinto never don't look like adults. First off, Quinto is so hairy, it's impossible. He was having 5 o'clock shadow issues even as Spock (something Nimoy didn't have). Heck, his eyebrows had 5 o'clock shadows. Pine has an adult physique, but a much more boyish face (and I'm not a fan of his near-bearded look--I don't think it suits him).

Indeed. Kirk is supposed to be played by a rounder, younger and more "heroic"-looking type actor whereas Spock has always gotten tall and sort of awkwardly lanky guys with "villain" looks and long faces. They are light and dark (or at least they were until Shatner got a dark brown toupee and killed the effect), human and alien/not-of-the-norm. Both Nimoy and Quinto have very unusual looks and have a physicality that tends to set them apart (I've also noticed this in Heroes for Quinto--it's that same lanky, sharp-edged movements thing that Nimoy has). Kirk calls for someone a bit more generic-looking, but still memorable.
They do match their counterparts. All of them did really. Zoë and Nichelle have different body types, but then so do Pine and Shatner (and besides the weight, there is quite a height difference).

Hee! I noticed this too. nuSpock is a hairy fellow. But it was a really long, difficult day, so the poor guy didn't have time to run back to his quarters for a shave, I guess.

Star Trek is so hot even the writers are hot! Someone start posing pix of the camera crew.and and and....um Does anyone think Orci is kinda hot? I do, and I can't deny that.

You're right! This is indeed the kind of garment I was thinking of, but dude... not the most flattering picture. ZQ looks like he just got caught doing/saying something silly and is trying to excuse it with a goofy smile.
They both really like their hoodies, huh. I would never want to be photographed in a hoody. If you must, there must be some lovely Gucci ones or something. They can afford it now.
