But both are pretty damn fine, IMO. And since the poll is a dead heat, seems I'm not alone in that opinion.

I kinda like the turn this thread is taking what with all the pics and the, er, interesting bits of discussion 
I'd even say that if Quinto's Spock had looked less like Nimoy's Spock, it wouldn't have bothered me that much because I think Quinto would have been able to nail Spock even without the looks.
I've re-watched "Bread and Circuses" last evening and I couldn't peel my eyes off Spock fighting in the arena

There's a wonderful scene between McCoy and Spock in that ep (my sig is from it). That's why I love TOS: the characters, baby.
Yes, yes, yes! I could only watch the movie 4 times and each one of them, my eyes were peeled for Quinto/Spock's scenes. Quinto has that ability to convey a lot through his eyes (which, IMO, makes the talented actors), and it's exactly what is needed to play Spock.
I'd even say that if Quinto's Spock had looked less like Nimoy's Spock, it wouldn't have bothered me that much because I think Quinto would have been able to nail Spock even without the looks.

My thoughts exactlyI like to think that once you get Spock to come out of his shell (he's a challenge, of course), he's a wild man. He obviously is in a fight, so why shouldn't he be just as unrestrained in other acts of physical passion?

Pine and Quinto may have similar jaws (and, oddly, eyebrows), but their mouths are pretty different. I may have studied this a lot.

My wife finds Spock sexier, and my best friend's girlfriend thinks Kirk is sexier. I thought thay was interesting and started asking all the women I knew who saw the film who they thought was sexier. It was about a 50/50 split, so I would like to compare with the results here.

This is strange..my wife has always found NIMOY from TOS more sexier than Shatner...now, its reversed. She thinks Pine is hotter looking.
This worries me. She has always had a thing for Nicholas Cage. But recently, that guy has been looking pretty old. I was holding my own...but now comes this younger Pine fella. Me? I'm still hooked on Jane Seymore. Time to counter attack and lust after a young hot chic...well...hell...why not Uhura!!! (and yes..her underwear) (I love the continuity in my threads, don't you?)

I don't know. Sylar has gotten hotter over the course of "Heroes." I think Quinto could be walking around nak- um, I mean, out of his costume and he'd be fine.
