Labeouf Wants 18 Million To Return To Transformers 4

If Michael Bay is directing, then it's going to be a piece of shit movie regardless of whether or not The Beef is in it.

I guess that Lars Von Trier didn't pay him much for that artsy porn he's doing now.

They don't need him anyway. They could just do a time jump, like with the animated film, and have Daniel (Sam and Carly's son) as the main character. Hell, they could do a live action version OF the animated film. Imagine what Unicron would be like...

You guys are crazy. He's worth every penny, as he's THE reason everyone goes to see these movies. When people think "Transformers," they think LaBeouf. Not giant robots that turn into other machines. Pfft, who wants to see that.

No LaBeouf, no Transformers. It's that simple.

I've liked all the Transformers movies, and I've like Shia in them (less so in #3 because he was basically batshit crazy the whole time, but meh). If you turn your brain off, they're fun enough to watch. I don't really care.

They should make a whole movie based on Cybertron, so no human actors (except for voices) would be needed. :techman:
Or, they could not make any more lameformers© movies at all! :bolian:

... Hell, I'd do the movie for 18 mil. Some serious potential charity cash there. But I do think the studio'd be fools to pay it.

If he can get the money to waste his time in this crap, more power to him. If he can't, he doesn't have to appear in another stupid blockbuster which he has publicly disavowed. Sounds like a win-win for him.

I like Shia. I think he's a talented performer who adds wit and fun to whatever he's in. If he want's to do another Transformers, I'm good with that. And yeah, he did badmouth these big studio movies, but I'm not that bothered by it. I figured he could use the extra money. It's too early in his career for him to pack it in and rely on his artsy films.

I think the decision will ultimately fall to Michael Bay. I get the impression that he likes Shia, and I think that general audiences have liked him in the Transformers films. So I can see him returning unless the 4th film is going to be a dramatic creative departure from the first three (which, I think was actually rumored before Bay officially signed on to return).
