Kurtwood Smith

Somewhere I had seen a report that he'd passed on.

I'm glad to see that reports of his demise were exaggerated.

And no, I did not confuse him for Robin Williams. I know people here think I'm a fucking dumbass, but umm....no. :)

You could have googled him.

But I know it can happen. Sometimes it's the other way round: I realize years later that an actor has passed. It's because it was someone not especially popular.
I found out that the singer of a former German punk band is dead six or seven years after his demise......

I remember one time several years ago. I'd also thought Ernest Borgnine was dead, but I was wrong. But he did (sadly) pass away in 2012.

My bads. :)

Y'all are forgetting one role. That said:

He is quite alive, he was just in the ABC show 'Resurrection' this past year.

Kurtwood Smith is best when he isn't hidden under tons of makeup.

So I prefer Annorax, too.

And his Dead Poets Society role as Neil Perry's father not wanting his son to engage in acting instead of focusing on his prearranged future.

And in case anyone's wondering: No, KS is not the Federal Network narrator in the first Starship Troopers movie. Sounds like him, but it's not him.
