Yeah that was a 'nice' feature, watching Mike actually push a button to make something work even though said talking car could do it without someone actually pushing a button.
Just so I'm clear, the episode ended with Mike leaving the girl with a bar that is slowly filling with methane gas and could explode any minute?

No no, in a cut scene they use the mega-funds of the Foundation to purchase a really great fan for the bar's window and ventilation system to blow the methane outwards where it will only cause OTHER buildings to blow up.
Actually the methane is now used to power the bar until the special episode where Mike has to put Master Blaster back in his place in Thunderdome.
They used the same brand of fan that Larry King uses under his desk.
