Idiot. LOL. I mean really both girls were pretty much equal in the physical department and hell, Mike already screwed with Sarah in the KARR episode, so if this episode was supposed to take place after the KARR ep, they only slept together not that long ago.
I'm thinking the order should be KARR - This one - the one with the kid being kidnapped by the drug cartel guys - the bank robbery. Since the bank robbery episode mentioned A drug cartel.

The episode order has been jumbled by the network, this should've aired before the KARR entry, but was held back til now.
^^Err, it couldn't have aired before the KARR episode, because it explicitly refers to events that happened during the KARR episode. What you presumably mean is that it was supposed to air immediately after the KARR episode. And NickRyder makes a good point about the cartel reference. I noticed that in the bank-heist episode, but assumed it was just a reference to some unseen mission.
Granted in the bank heist ep everyone was beat tired and Mike was on his way back to the SSC, but I suppose maybe they were pulling an all nighter for the DEA to get more evidence and intel on that cartel that we didn't see after KITT took the kid and his mom back home. Dialogue in both episodes would support this theory. Plus, in the bank episode, Mike calls himself an undercover DEA agent to a cop. So maybe in the time between the aftermath of the kidnapping episode and the bank episode, Sarah's government guy kinda made Mike an acting DEA agent to sort of 'make legal' his capture of the cartel. This week's episode seemed like they were sort of hashing out their roles and planning rotations. Something they probably would have/should have done soon after the government got out of the SSC.
Why NBC jumbled up the order is beyond me, unless it was the production company that kept it this way as they were working on effects and editing and gave them to NBC as they finished them, with some dipshit in programming thinking that the order they got the shows was the order they should have been in.
I'll be the DVD will put them in proper production order and not air date.

^^Like I said, they probably figured the bank-heist episode was a stronger intro for the new format than this episode would be.
Not that I matter anyway (though I am in the core demo).
I hate to say this, but the episode was Good. The blonde chick is nowhere as hot as Sarah, and the two dorks (Billy and Zoey) were tolerable. That dumb turbo boost stunt was actually pretty cool and original, plus it was funny when Mike told KITT that KITT screams like a girl

Double strike for it running out of bullets in one burst. That whole bit was so lame. Mike was like five feet away, he didn't need any cover fire, just for KITT to open the damn door.
Didn't KITT last week have dual gun in each fender fire off tons more bullets?

Accepting the nanotech is one thing, accepting that KITT can hide a huge railgun in his hood, somehow, is one thing, but that he's getting these constant, "convenient" upgrades.... Eh.

I can 'buy it' given that KARR was built on a similar chassis to KITT and he had rocket launchers and guns and all kinds of weird ass shit. So if we have to accept that KARR and possibly KITT can transform into something like that, then it fits into canon. (or cannon lol)
Although that further tells me that this is an earlier production ep. Maybe Graiman kept the double machine guns and loads of ammo out of KITT to keep the gov't from thinking that KARR was ready to go because KITT had demonstrated that the extra concealed firepower works. So he had one minigun with a limited amount of ammo, as a 'test', and then Mike did mention 'Sarah will fix it up' or something, so maybe after they got back, Sarah, Zoe and Billy installed the double chaingun mods. Seeing that the opportunity may arise that KITT would need to lay down some suppressive cover fire. He could have used his missles too, but I wonder if Doc G took them out after they nearly killed him LOL

At least it was a retractable mini mega railgun cannon...though looking at the barrel pop up-and knowing there's another one on the other side makes it look even more comical.
Not to mention there's a mega-powerful engine buried in there somewhere.
Seriously, I think KI2K was more "grounded" in a "reality" as far as what capabilites he had and what was in him.
I also liked the "jet sound" KITT TOS always had.
Though it would seem this show has introduced the "passive restraint system"/"crude IDF" that KITT had eliminating the need for seatbelts.
I also miss the button pushing and the lighting up on the panels.
