Klingon vs. Ferengi ...

After re-watching Magnificent Ferengi I'd like to see a showdown between Eliminator Leck and a Klingon..... Quark fought against Klingons, too. Should be interesting.

And Leck doesn't have to worry about a sense of honor complicating things. He's very practical that way.

Plus I think even the Klingons would probably get the chills from Brunt maneuvering Quark into either giving up his assets, or killing himself.

The Klingons were interesting when TNG first started digging into their culture but by the time DS9 embraced them I think we'd seen enough of it. You could usually guess what line was going to come out of the Klingons mouths before they said it. With that said I think they worked fantastically as villains during Season 4 and early Season 5. Gowron was a great addition to the recurring roster of characters and was a great villain for DS9. Martok was also a great character but he did bog Worf down in all that boring Klingon honour stuff.

By contrast the Ferengi were abysmal on TNG and were fantastic on DS9. They were never going to be a race anyone took seriously but I enjoyed most of their episodes. Quark is one of the greatest Star Trek creations in my opinion. The Klingons will always carry more dramatic weight than the Ferengi but I'd take the funny Ferengi episodes over the (sometimes) po faced Klingon episodes any day. Ironically Worf is actually my favourite character in all of Trek...

Now if you want to talk about the "evil" Klingons of orginal Trek and its movies I LOVED those guys.
