Klingon Helmets in new trailer

Since this movie, for the most part, is not canon, we shouldn't assume anything. Like they said in the earlier post, this is JJ's interpretation of Klingons. Why couldn't a Klingon Soldier wear a helmet? Why should we assume that the virus concept is even concidered for this movie? After all, they had to INVENT an explanation for the fact that this same thing happened when the Klingons got their ridges in the first place in TMP. It made them look more intimidating! This is just another example of someone's take on what a Klingon is. Funny how no one complains that the Romulans are bald and tattooed, yet the fine details of Klingon head and garb are picked apart. Wonder what people would say if JJ made the Gorn eight inches tall and look more like Gecko's? :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:
Don't even get us started on the Gorn.

seems that this issue has been resolved over at trekmovie... they say the image is from the future, when eric bana escapes from the ice prison. :klingon:

now, where did he get his octopus ship? and why do all his romulan cronies look like thugs? is there going to be a "normal" romulan among them? does anyone else remember when hipster kids in the 90s were called romulans b/c of their haircuts? so much for that.

bring back the romulan ambassador! he had the best threads.

Regarding the possibility of Vulcan being destroyed, does anyone think that will actually happen? Would Abrams really blow up Vulcan?

Uuuuhh, if it will happen ,imagine the drama  ,even more flavor to this movie ;)

Well, Earth was seen being horrifically destroyed in the original timeline of "Twilight(ENT)," before history was repaired and the Xindi weapon was destroyed. So anything's possible. This is TREK after all.

bring back the shoulder pads!

Over at Empire Abrams confirms that they are indeed Klingons. Love the idea of the helmet, by the way.

I saw the pic again, and i think i figured out Nero's frustration and anger, dropping the soap every day for Klingon leather helmet wearing guards can break the mind of any person

Prison ship = ready supply of thugs.

As for the octopus ship, you got me. Maybe it was a prison ship.... uh, wait a second...

Holy crap, it's Moya!

Maybe Klingons naturally have human-like foreheads, but they later got into body modding. These photos creep me out--so I thought I'd share. :p
