Would a Klingon even wear a helmet?
Well it appears that he goes back to blow up Vulcan, so I'm assuming it's spock that he's after not Kirk.
Is it logical to suggest that after the events of Nemesis, the people of Romulus decided that Unification and/or peace with the federation wasn't such a bad idea?
I think he's going after both of them. It's indicated that Nero is the one that destroys the Kelvin, which gives Kirk some Daddy issues. Kirk may have been the target, but survived, but ended up becoming a punk kid and didn't start his illustrious career. Nero missed his mark, but maybe have still been satisfied with the result.
Target two could be Spock-- but it also seems like the Enterprise is saving Vulcan. Why just kill Spock when you can kill them all-- that certainly ends any want or need for Unification.

They kind of look like Darth Vader. Police droids, crazy space battles, gleaming while corridors, hovering bikes -- more evidence JJ wants this to be HIS Star Wars.

That is not a droid or a robot.
Star Trek never, ever had any space-battles, no.
Have you looked at those white corridors in TOS?
Yeah, never have we seen any anti-grave vehicles in Trek.![]()

Oh, and that poster is wrong, btw.
That isn't even a hover-bike. It clearly has wheels.

I actually didn't mind the trailer -- wasn't so enthused about it either. I think a lot of it looks cool... but I hope there is more than just cool looks to this new "vision" of Trek.
And in my humble opinion, Abrams and Orci & Kurtzman have a solid track record for making things that looks slick and cool (The Island, Transformers, Fringe, MI3) but in the end are kind of empty and lacking. I don't want Trek to suffer that fate.
