Kira's Uniform in early seasons

Has anyone else noticed how rigid Kira looks in her uniform in the early seasons of DS9? Sometimes she barely moves, and almost looks like her head is the only thing moving. It's almost like they dubbed her head on top of a cardboard body.

Now that you mention it..... I wonder if that was part of how Nana wanted to portray Kira in the beginning (more uptight and not at ease with the current situation on Bajor) or just because of uncomfortable weardrobe.

That's probably true. She was a resistance fighter with a bad attitude. No need for comfortable attire.

Reminds me of those Romulan uniforms from TNG. Those shoulder pads could poke a guy's eye out.

Visitor said somewhere, possibly the companion, that she played Kira very uptight deliberately in the opening seasons; she didn't trust Sisko or the Federation, and while she would do her job, she wasn't about to be their friend. This loosened up in later years because the Starfleet crew proved themselves to her.
