The bajoran version of tank top
How else were they supposed to make it alien-looking? Put a photo of ET across the chest?
Did any other episodes show her wearing this?
Wow kitsune, this may be the first major disagreement we have! I can't stand that shirt! She actually wore it constantly in other episodes - it was her standard 'casual wear' when she was out of uniform and it annoyed the hell out me, both because I thought it was an ugly design, and I hated the fact that it was the only thing she ever wore other than a uniform. I figured even in the 24th century women would still have fairly extensive wardrobes. I guess Kira was just too much of a workaholic to think about fashion.![]()
Yeah, that's all wrong. that white thing is what goes under her uniform jacket. Presumably, she wears it because it's more comfortable than the whole uniform, or because it is cooler when doing heavy labor. You wouldn't expect a militia uniform to be "pretty".[...]pretty sure she had different clothes when impersonating Emony Dax during the Dajarah ritual.
Why do her pants have to go up so far? It makes her look frumpy, and shes far from it. I hated that uniform!

This is quite the debate we have going here. I'm glad at least some people are on my side thinking it's casual wear and not part of the uniform. I just can't see a garment like that being mass produced as a part of military attire, even given the traditionally odd fashion choices in the future universe of Star Trek. And your comment about what's "pretty" reinforces my point. It's too "pretty" (I don't mean I think it is, but it seems made to be seen that way) to be military wear...a military uniform should be generic-looking.
I'm not going to dismiss your post as flat out wrong as you did mine, but I can get a small measure of revenge for that diss by nitpicking this one point I've quoted above - Kira wasn't Emony during the Zhian'tara ritual. Leeta was Emony. Kira was Leela.I swear I'm not usually this petty.
