Specifically, Bruce McColloch of the Canadian comedy group, as the cadet who says "Sir, the mains are back online!" after Spock's sacrifice towards the end of the film.

It really looks and sounds like him, but I can't find any real confirmation that it is him-IMDB for instance, has no credit either on his page or on Star Trek II. I'm not alone in this speculation, but I can't find anything solid on it.

It's funny because honestly all of those guys seem like they'd be fantastic in Star Trek parts (except maybe Bruce), especially as easily-offended aliens or uptight junior Starfleet officers.

Here I am years having sensed the same thing. It has been said it isn't him but technically he was ~20 when this movie was made so we weren't too far off,
