Kelvin Timeline all but confirmed

I always thought that by the 23rd century, rectums were genetically removed from all sentient beings - the only remaining hold-over from the post Eugenics Wars ban on genetic engineering.

Obviously they use transporters to remove waste particles from inside the person's body and recycle them into usable matter.

Depends on your age.

If they turn on the artificial gravity, they should be able to play spaceball on top of the secondary hull. ;)
I'd watch that.

I don't understand why it's so important to people, and I hope they keep it deliberately vague as to which timeline it takes place in.

It shouldn't make any difference as long as they tell good stories, but we are Star Trek fans, and for some odd reason there are fans who get very concerned if things are different than we expect, hope or want.

In the end, every fan will place the show in whatever timeline they want.

Those who dislike the prime timeline will want DSC to be in Kelvin (or its own) timeline, and despite the producer saying otherwise, they won't be shaken from it.

And those who prefer the prime timeline will believe the announcement that DSC is prime.

It's simultaneously win-win (since every fan gets the timeline they desire) and lose-lose (since there will never be agreement).

Here's a question--what will happen that makes us think it's NOT the Kelvin timeline?

Other than the appearance of George Kirk, alive and well, what can they do besides have an actual multiiverse story?

Vulcan was destroyed in 2258. Kirk is promoted in the alternate timeline more rapidly, because reasons.

The year of 2255 for DSC is, as far as I know, still only conjectural. It's gotten by fans subtracting ten from 2265.
