Kelvin Blue Uniforms

Anyone else notice the subtle nod to ENT and their blue uniforms? All uniforms on the USS KELVIN are blue, a sort of missing link between the uniforms of the future and the past(ie ENT). Being an ENT fan it almost made the movie for me.

It was a great nod to Enterprise (no I didn't spot that until you mentioned it), but there were a few other colored tops walking around, I spotted one green shirt (department?) on the bridge, and I though another in engineering, and the medical staff were in white.

i too saw a green uniform. but as i have said in a few other threads, i didn't care much for the Kelvin style uniforms.

The Kelvin uniforms were great. They had a sense of sleekness that's been lacking ever since Trek started leaning more towards looser and darker uniforms (FC, ENT, etc.).

I'm fairly certain that there were green and mustard colored uniforms as well. But they flash by so fast that its hard to tell.

So if there are multicolored jump suits does this mean that blue is the command color for that era?

I saw at least one uniform that was not blue!!!

gah! of course! why didn't I make this ENT connection earlier??? I was wondering why Robau's command uniform was blue.... was there some gold in it, though, as well? All three division colours should've been present somewhere on the uniform

the kelvin uniforms were more form fitting. i don't think they'd be flattering on an overweight person.

Wait, did Robau have a belt buckle?

Even though everyone in every Star Trek series has worn some sort of strange asexual jumpsuit, he goes like "Screw it! I'm a man! I'll wear pants! And a beltbuckle!"

Oh man, he's even more badass then I thought...

I just got an early TNG vibe from them. Clingey like spandex. Bleh. Looked out of place on a sharp bridge mostly reminiscent of ENT. They should've just stuck with the rugid denim flightsuits, maybe redone in departmental colours (like miners and colonists during TOS). The industrial Engineering sets in Abramsverse bother me too... positively Victorian compared to the NX-01.
I loved the new Engineering. It actually LOOKS like an engine room now.

Hrm, I'll have to look at this in my second viewing, but I was sure I saw some other colors on shirts.

Edited To Add: I also notice black rank stripes. Interesting. I like it.

There were a few gold uniforms on the Kelvin. I hadn't noticed the green ones when I saw the movie. All I saw were the gold and blue, and ws going to comment that that actually was a good link to The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before, blue and gold being the only uniform colours in those episodes.

There was another shade--I'd call it more a beige than gold--that became red in the series.
