Kate Mulgrew Tribute Video

I went on Kate Mulgrew's official web-site yesterday and saw something interesting. Posted on her site was a tribute video that was shown at a Film Festival that she attended earlier this year. Here is the YouTube link to the video. It is a little over 9 minutes long. Enjoy!

btw I always chuckle at your name because if I'd joined this BBS at it's beginning that would have been my choice. Ro was my favorite for a very long time (and Ro and Lwaxana are still my favorite TNG characters).

Ro was definitely one of TNG's more stronger characters.

I was suprised that it was available when I signed up for this forum... but that was all the way back in 2004! Ro definitely is one of the best characters from TNG!

I always wish Ro would have been a cast regular, she was the female character TNG needed, not Troi. At least the next two series picked up on her example.

They wanted her to play the Kira style character for DS9 but Forbes declined the role.

I would have ADORED having Ro Laren in that slot.

I know, but I liked Kira as she was. One of TNG's shortcomings was not having the greatest female characters, but Ro would have fixed that if only circumstances would have allowed for them get rid of Troi as planned, then use Ro as a replacement for Yar.

If only, if only...

That would have been awesome.. and they could have replaced Riker with Shelby and really knocked my socks off.

Yeah, Riker could've eventually used a replacement too. I know there was little chance of Riker leaving the show, but if he did I think it would have been best to bump Data up to XO due to his closeness to Picard. Then maybe Shelby could have filled Data's old position if she stayed.

I liked Riker, but there was a definite point where he went from being cool and vital, to bring a creepy jerk who was resistant to change.
