I thought seasons 3 and 4 were weak but I loved the riot season.

I'm looking forward to the consequences of the riot which I suspect will be the focus of season 6. I'm not sure I want to rewatch the whole show but will probably rewatch season 5 before it starts.

It will be interesting, the logical expectation is that EVERYBODY is blamed, but there will be a disparity between people who can afford good lawyers and people who can't, and what's his name with the dad rock band might feel responsible and try to politically fight to protect the many by piling blame on the few. I'm looking forward to see how that all shakes out. I suspect the vast majority of inmates will have extended sentences but those connected will be spared.

Also Vause was on the Internet. So what's his name will soon know she's still alive.

I didn't particularly like the cheetos-Taki plug.

What's really interesting to me is I always go back for the new season even thought I didn't like it over all. There was just enough to get me to stay loyal and see where it goes.

I prefer Wentworth. I'll be interested to see if the pendulum swings the other way this time.

How did you miss it? Netflix was trying to capitalize on Voyager Ahh I loved it.

Yeah I figured she was pregnant because the character being pregnant didn't quite fit in with the timeline of the show. (I didn't feel it did anyway)

It was so tempting to draw a parallel between Janeway & Red. Netflix did it (what was quite easy as seeing as both shows are aired on this TV channel) and quite brillantly, besides!

Well Kate Mulgrew is the reason i first started watching

Just finished my season 5 re-watch, to ready myself for season 6 next month. It was interesting to see how they brought in a lot of ancillary characters to do most of the "bad" stuff, but I still don't see Maria Ruiz getting out early after she led the guard degradation in the chapel on the first day of the riot.

I also thought it interesting when they showed areas of common ground between the "I'm not a Nazi, I'm a white supremacist" and Alison Abdullah, even though the two could not speak to each other regarding the source of their mutual pain.

I had forgotten the cameos by Pornstache and Larry, and was truly surprised when Alex told the French guy in the NYC bar that she broke up with Piper "6 years ago". She was still so angry she outed Piper to the Feds for time off. I always thought it was 10 years between their breakup and Piper's "unfortunate incarceration."

I did like how Leanne's mom, along with Suzanne's and Piper's showed up at the prison to support their child. I was sad for Gloria's son in the ICU waiting for a mom who desperately was trying to reach him and for the young son of another inmate watching Flaritza's youtube video as he watched HIS mom in the background yelling/swearing at the guard hostages in the "bubble".

I will not be upset is "Linda" (Caputo's girlfriend and MCC coworker) stays in prison another day or two while the authorities sort out her status. I will be surprised if Pennsatucky ends up going "free". She's not as savvy as Chang who is probably running a criminal syndicate by now.

I wonder if we will ever see Judy King again?

Just another 5 weeks to go before we find out.

ETA II I loved it when the Actress Kate Mulgrew was being taught how to use the smart phone's fingerprint scanner and she muttered, "I AM Red."

I figured she threw in the towel when her sentence was extended. That's really so sad. She gave up.

^^ But that's just it, Maria learned from Caputo that she did NOT get her time extended since he'd seen no paperwork on it and she did not have a hearing. After going through her own file, she confirmed her sentence was unchanged. That's when she started hanging outside with Vause's neutral crew.

Yup. I figured. I cannot find the dang article but something about the litchfield prison set is being reclaimed by the state so they got to go somewhere :P Whether or not they ever recreate the set we won't know yet but they're bound for max this season.

It makes sense for season 6 not to take place in Litchfield though. After how it ended and the guard saying "You think you're going back in there?" Also after they spent the entire last season on a riot that lasted only a couple days, it makes sense the entire next season would be about the consequences. The complexity of who gets blamed for what, what can be proven and what can't, who has good lawyers and who doesn't, the effect of public opinion.

I expect season 6 to be all about the consequences of the riot, and season 7 to be about wrapping up everyone's story after everyone receives their consequence.
