Going by the ABC video, it appears that Kate is the earliest one on the set and the one that the rest of the cast go to for advice. Taylor is the one who shows up late.

I HAVE FINISHED THE SERIES.
1. wtf, why was Nicky not in the WHOLE THING? Like, was there a Real World reason? Because it made me sad.
2.This is a very nuanced series. Healy is a pathetic wanker yet also sympathetic. I love how they build the relationship between him and Red based on their pragmatism, soft spots and age. They are old school and they understand each other. It's actually sweet. This is such a rare thing in television.
3. In the end when Piper tells Ruby Rose who has stolen all her monies "your situation is going to be my situation in the next six to twelve months" I thought this was an example of Piper's WASPy self absorption because Piper has a brother who loves her and parents who while assholes will still still take her in and do the minimal "right thing" at least. But WHOA that was just player lvl BULLSHIT on Piper's part and GO PIPER!!! She was stringing Ruby Rose along and she fucked her over real good. I think the Piper growth into next level manipulative shit is very believable. We opened with Piper as whiny manipulator but we're now into her finding her power in that "skill".
I liked Ruby Rose's androgynous attractiveness but her accent shit me to tears. I don't know what the deal is and I realize probably no one reading this post will know what I mean but transplanted Aus accents always sound horribly fake and put upon. Anyway, it did not endear her to me.
Big Boo backstory: THANK YOU I have been waiting for this from Day One. I adore Big Boo and her friendly maternal care for the much more pathetic pennsatucky was lovely.
The Lake: I got tears in my eyes seeing all these women enjoying their stolen and no doubt punished moment in that lake splashing around. Some of this is so upsetting.. I hope at least one person watching this series starts to question the war on drugs. Poor Nicky. What does all this prison do for anyone.

Okay I have no where else to post this, no one else I can tell this to so confession time.
I had a dream. Yes I know it is boring, torture even to read other people's dreams.
In it I was interviewing Kate Mulgrew and Red, they were two separate people. At the end of the interview Red said "why don't we give them something to be happy about" in her nuclear wessels accent and Kate laughed and the THEY KISSED EACH OTHER in a 5/10 passionate kiss. And while I was gawping at this sight (Kate was wearing one of her white suits and Red was in her chef gear) I was grappling with my phone to take photo with the intention of uploading it to facebook and it going MEGA VIRAL because this was so awesome.

Was there a real world reason?
I don't think so, then again although I have the book (Christmas gift from my only friend that refuses to watch the show), I haven't read it. I doubt there was a RW reason that Jenji is following since she's repeatedly said how the show had to go in a separate direction from the book because they weren't allowed to tell those stories by the legal department. Piper's they could tell, since Piper gave them permission.
I find it shocking that Nicky could be removed without any evidence. Luschek shouting "she's a junkie" was like last season when one of the ladies pointed out, "look around, we're ALL criminals."
Since Nicky has such financial resources behind her, I'm hoping Mom's lawyer points out the LACK of evidence and gets her sent back to Litchfield. Heck, a simple drug test of Nicky's blood or even her hair would show that she was clean behind bars.
I'm also very hopeful that all those women arriving on those buses at the end will include a frizzy, frazzled Nicky looking for revenge on Luschek.
I'm still upset that Morello's so pathologic that she sent her boyfriend after "Christahfur" and NOT Luschek. For that reason alone, (that Morello is insane) Nicky is probably safer in Max than at Litchfield.
Remember how Flaca told Maritza that when she wore her kitchen apron, she was wearing it "ironically?"
I loved how even she appreciated the irony of going to prison for making money at a "non-sweatshop sewing job" only to end up bidding for a sweatshop sewing job in prison.
Speaking of Maritza, she better get a knife from the kitchen and castrate that b@st@rd AKA the new donut CO. Even better, maybe Gloria, Aleida AND Red can bond over that job next season, the way they did over Daya in season 1.
I wonder how long Sophia will be in the SHU, and if Gloria is going to try and pull a "Piper" to get her out of the SHU.
I thought it was interesting how Boo ended up taking a maternal interest in Pennsatucky this year, when at the end of last year Boo was just "busting her chops" over the lesbian agenda crap. When Pennsatucky really didn't understand why she needed to brush her gums to keep them healthy enough to hold the implants in place, Boo realized as dysfunctional as her own relationship was with her mom it wasn't as bad as Pennsatucky's background.
