Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

Thanks, trampledamage! I don't remember where I found it, but it's my favorite shot of McCoy in the entire movie (yes, even more than Scruffy McCoy). I had cited the scene as a favorite in another thread, but in case anyone here doesn't recognize it, it's when Spock is recording his log entry after Vulcan's destruction, and they show McCoy walking up to a man in slow motion and running that diagnostic thingy next to his face. I think of it as McCoy's "all grown up" moment, which is sort of ironic in that he looks so young there. You can just see that he's taken charge, and even though it lasts only a second or two, I just love it.

I love that scene too, but for a slightly different reason. I swear his eyes looked red and swollen, as though he'd either been crying, or was restraining himself from doing so. This is the guy who is convinced that space is all darkness and danger, and he just got a ringside seat to several billion deaths that proved he was right. McCoy does have a multiverse reputation for going to just about any ends to save a life.

Karl is sooo wonderful.

When the surviving Vulcans are in Sickbay? I love that scene. It was well done. :bolian:

Oh yes, that is a fabulous scene. It's one indranee mentioned way back at the beginning of this thread, because of how wonderful McCoy's shoulders look!

Do you have a large photo of it?

I originally found it here. Scroll about three-quarters of the way down the page.

The photos there are absolutely gorgeous.

Ooooh. Thats 1:30am for me! I might just have to stay up and watch that for a bit. Hopefully I wont have to wait long to see Karl!

...you might like sullivan's travel's...
Wow, a Veronica Lake movie. I don't think I've ever seen Sullivan's Travels, but the wiki article looks interesting. I'll get the TiVo looking for it; thanks. :)

Anyway, all the talk in that other thread about whether Jim and Gaila's scene was indecent has certainly got me wishing and hoping they have a scene with Bones in the sequel that makes everybody wonder whether it's indecent!

one of my favorite bones tos scenes is toward the end of shore leave.
what an interesting imagination.

Are you talking about the scene where he has a showgirl (or whatever they are) on each arm? He looks so pleased with himself there. I always get annoyed with that Yeoman What's-Her-Face for being so snitty about it and taking away his fun.

Good choice, pookha--it's a great scene!

Yes, you did; I don't think I've seen that particular one before. It's a beautiful portrait. Thanks!

"Shore Leave" has always been my favorite TOS episode; I like the fun ones! But now that you mention it, it does have a lot of Bones in it.

That's the same one used for McCoy's dossier image on the official site, if I'm not mistaken. (Do "Enter the site" > Nav > Dossiers)

You might enjoy the first part of this clip.

M'Sharak, those dossier photos are all amazing! Thanks. I enjoyed seeing Vulcan again, as well as all the pores on Karl's face. :D Full-screen edition = very nice. The music makes me homesick. I might have to find a theater.

And dammit! You are stacking up my bookmarks list with all those great clips!

Blonde. almost makes me wanna stray from the Spock appreciation thread . . .
