Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

"Young whippersnapper" ... hmmm. :shifty:

If you're younger than 50, that makes you a young whippersnapper in my book.

Ooh, wait, Mr_Whatsit just turned on Chronicles of Riddick on TNT! Just started at 10:30 p.m. eastern time. Off to watch my uber-hot mirror-universe NuMcCoy now.

Okay, so I'm a 14-year-old teenybopper in a 51-year old body...

ETA: Riddick is followed by Doom at 1 a.m., which inspires me to post this. Look at those eyes, not to mention those lips. Yum to the nth degree.

Ok that was downright inspirational. :guffaw:

I caught Pathfinder the other night. I watched about the first 40 minutes. Thoughts - Yeah, I bet every Native American watching this movie is like... "So, we can't beat the big, bad Vikings. Let's import our own white dude to do it for us." :vulcan:

I have a head set for the telly. I would turn the volume down a bit and read The Lovely Bones and then tune back in for a minute or two to drool over Karl.

Doom - I missed the 4 pm showing so....Yeppers. I was up at 1 am with popcorn at the ready.

I actually kinda liked Doom. It is not high cinema but a good popcorn flick.

Lots of Karl and then the Rock goes to the big wrestling ring in the sky. Not a bad way to spend the wee hours.

Then Underworld came on....I kept watching....at 4 am I thought: "Stupid! Why are you watching a movie you have on DVD with commercials."

Went to bed.

I may have to buy Doom. Karl looked delectable.

Much as I'm ashamed to admit it, Doom is growing on me. It's a little gross for my tastes, but since there's so little plot to worry about, I can easily FF or read a book or fold laundry through the non-Reaper parts (that's his name in it, right?) and only have to look at the screen when he's on.

I also finally saw LOTR: The Two Towers yesterday (haven't watched the third one yet; I have it ready to go). The movie was okay--I'm not so much for the interminably long battle scenes (although I liked Gimli, Aragorn, and Eowyn a lot). Eomer, on the other hand? YOWSA. I LOVE that steely glare and heroic bearing. I even like the long blond hair. There was definitely not enough Eomer for me.

Someone else alluded to this in an earlier post: Karl Urban has played so many action heroes that he's like a life-size action figure. Therefore, I have decided I'm going to ask for one for my birthday, so I can dress him up and play with him as much as I want. "All right, Karl Action Figure, that's enough 'Eomer rescues Princess Whatsit' for this week. For the next few nights, we're going to play 'Scruffy McCoy and Junior Medical Officer Whatsit get trapped in a shuttlecraft on Planet Lovetron...'" :guffaw:

Your mission if you choose to accept it... get me access to this e-mail group ;)

Zoe Saldana:
"If you guys could really see, because we all have each other on a massive e-mail group, like all the actors and one of the producers and J.J.," she said. "And just to read the back and forth of Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and Chris Pine, John Cho, I mean, I've been having tons of fun."
Original article here - Zoe's also hoping for some fight scenes in Trek XII

Ha-ha! Gotta love the way you think! :bolian:

Doom was great mindless fun, but to be honest I would not have liked it if Karl Urban had not been in it.

It had visual appeal.

And the Riddick thing too! It was Urbanapalooza!!!

Yeesh! I'm making me hungry again!

I'm not female OR gay, but I gotta say Urban is smoother and more handsome with brown hair. Darker. Just my two cents' worth.
