Karl Urban -- blond or brunet?

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

what do you think it is? I'm having difficulty explaining my love for this movie as well.

I think it's the double whammy of finally getting to see the characters in their prime again coupled with the movie finally getting the budget and the care we've always wished for. Oh, and the fact that all the actors are really fine... ;)

I would agree with that statement! Mighty fine looking gentlemen. :)

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

I had no idea McCoy was Eomer from LOTR. I have been re-evaluating his hotness since the movie but this really bumps him up. I was used to thinking of McCoy as an old guy - I was 10 when I first started watching TOS reruns and he seemed a 100 years old to me so that never entered my mind over the past century. And he was so fetching in the movie . . .

A bit of contemplation is good for the soul ;)

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

Well, by the time the movies rolled round, Kelley was a little older and he did have the older uncle look going on. Plus, Mc Coy always acted like he was ancient with all that complaining he did, so he seemed pretty old.

Thus the jarring effect when the hottie stepped out of the bathroom and into our lives during the movie.

anticipate a lot of goodness for the soul whilst contemplating Karl Urban/McCoy . . .

I loved Karl in LoTRs. He was so handsome, even though he needed a bath.

And at the end, he's a King. woo!

I am telling you, when he stepped out of the bathroom... I nearly died. He was soooo handsome.

I swear, 3 day bender or not, he was so handsome. And that voice. And the eyes.

I can't tell if it's the voice, the accent, the eyes or the commanding presence he has, but whenever McCoy is on screen he has my full attention.

Oh and the heavy accent when he asks Chekov "How are old you?"

Where was I...

Dammit, I have got to find that interview where Urban says the 3 day bender is his theory on Bones' behavior.

Oh and the heavy accent when he asks Chekov "How are old you?"

"Oh, great- he's seventeen, Jim!"

I've seen that interview, and I love it! It's on you tube now I want to watch it again!

The whole exchange with McCoy, Chekov and Kirk is so cute..

It's so cute, and that part starts at 1:04

Unfortunately, LOTRs is just one of those movies I have no desire to watch. Luckily I do have Chronicles of Riddick on hand, and can watch him anytime in that movie. :)

Can't wait until the Star Trek DVD gets released.

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

I don't know if anyone has already posted these pics, but on the chance they haven't y'all might want to check out:

He's obviously hit the gym since these were taken, but he's just so darned cute. Especially with the dog. But while his pics are umm, worksafe, (a damn shame) some of the others on the site are maybe a little questionable. So open with caution if you're goofing off at the job.:vulcan:

I love his hairstyle here. Total bed head. But I wish they could've found a still of his butt when he dives into the tank of milk. :(

"Oh good, he's 17!"

one of my favorite scenes! :D

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have no words. mythic, you are my hero.

You're quite welcome CD and trampledamage!

Isn't he gorgeous in that clip, his voice is so good...

I love his voice - it's such a shame that McCoy isn't a native New Zealander!

If anyone ever hears of him doing a spoken word recording of... anything, let me know - pleeeeeeeeeeeeease :)

Oh, those pics are wonderful (*goes to find out where she can buy The Price of Milk*). But I'm horrified by this "Anyways, most of you would probably remember Karl Urban the most as the elf who isn’t Orlando Bloom" - WHAT? Weren't they paying attention? Elf indeed... mutter, mutter, grumble...

(which reminds me, Eomer has one of my favourite lines from the whole LOTR sequence: "I would cut off your head, dwarf, if it stood but a little higher off the ground!" but I digress...)

Re: Karl Urban -- blond or brunette?

i really liked it in the interview when urban points out it is pretty hysterical that bones wants to be in starfleet.. where they operate out in space ect..

pine's look to bones when he points that out reminds me of some of the shatner takes when kelly's bones goes off about the transporter ect..
