That number for foreign total is almost a week old.

I guess foreign numbers are only reported once a week. Still don't see a way for the movie to get to $300 million net. And even if by some miracle the movie does end up getting a profit, it still has the weight of unmet expectations working against it.

Wonder Woman was holding back when fighting Superman. She didn't even attack with her sword, only using it to cut the statue's head. Also Steppenwolf is a skilled warrior and have armor, unlike Doomsday. Her sword can cut through just about anything, most likely even Superman, but maybe not Apokolyptian armor and weapons.

Apokolips Armor is more durable than Kryptonian skin?

^
Doomsday was constantly evolving so I guess eventually his skin would of been impenetrable for Wonder Woman's sword to pierce + she did seem to aim at certain spots like his arms, legs so maybe the sword wouldn't of passed so easily through his chest or head for example.

You think they'll ever explain what was done with his body afterwards, or it'll never be brought up again?

Interesting point, never really thought about that. You'd imagine someone like Weller would have taken it to learn everything they could.

Domestic: $212,060,371 (34.6%)
Foreign: $401,300,000 (65.4%)
Worldwide:
$613,360,371

So, the movie's reached 613 million worldwide this weekend.

What's the world coming to when a movie can only make upward of half a billion dollars in a month?

Saw it again today. I really liked it the first time. Absolutely loved it this time. Knowing what was coming was, for whatever reason, really satisfying (don't give a fuck about spoilers and hate spoiler culture. It's been like a million years since a blockbuster surprised me in any way, so it's all good).

I liked every one of the characters this time around. Bruce is pretty much the straight man to all the big personalities around him, so I didn't notice him so much the first time.

The whole Bat-Old thing really works for me, with him being comfortably surrounded by geezers he knows like Gordon and Alfred. Too many of these movies are about beginnings, and characters learning their ways, and having this worn-out fighter who's on the downhill side really grounds it in a nice way (yeah, Wayne's, what, pushing forty-five here? He seems ancient). Like Irons says, for decades Bruce was the whole show and it was all about about exploding toys and homicidal clowns, and now the landscape's swarming with these mutant heroes and villains who can bench press Wayne Manor. He's got to be incredibly gutsy, because you'd figure his life expectancy ought to be about minus-forty seconds when he wades into the fight.

Liked Elfman's score. Every scrap of good memorable dialogue - and there's quite bit mixed in there with the "It Begins!' placeholder crap - sounds like Whedon wrote it. Funny, that.

Loved Clark. Loved the Flash, Wonder Woman etc...I watched enough of the CW's Flash series for the parallels and the divergences in the two versions feels weird at moments.

Steppenwolf's not worth a spit as a character, but none of the villains in superhero movies ever are as far as I'm concerned. Loki in that one Avengers movie is the exception.

I'd watch this a third time. Didn't feel that way about Dawn Of Justice JL, Wonder Woman and Deadpool are the only superhero movies I've run about in six or seven years that really engaged me.

Well i saw this movie and i thought it was ok, just like all the rest, a fancy action popcorn movie that was quite interesting visually to watch, yes i had no idea who all the baddies were in this movie or most of the cube stuff and some of those charactors, the robot guy, the speedy guy and the waterword guy, but it did not stop me enjoying the movie and i got the jist of it without being brought up i the lore, super hero's keep earth safe from super baddies.

Am awaiting a screening at the full size 15/70 IMAX in a few minutes. Thought I’d catch it on the biggest screen in town before some obscure space opera takes up residence here for a while. ;)

I'm tempted to go see it again myself but I think I'll wait for the home media, I'm curious how it will hold up considering my first viewing impression was "entertained but disappointed by what could have been" (there's gotta be a german word for that. :D)

The movie is quite popular obviously. It's just the insanely high budget and insanely high expectations that are leading to the "flop" monicker.

Selbstbefriedigung.

Don’t know about a German word, but I could find out (my friend’s wife is German).

I enjoyed it more the second time. I made an effort to take it on its own, without worrying about “what might have been” and while it’s not the best DCEU effort, it was entertaining and made me want to explore each character further. Still didn’t like the score, though (the ‘89 Batman theme really does NOT fit this version—and I didn’t like it all that much back then either).

I left the cinema today feeling much like I did when I saw Star Trek Beyond—I enjoyed myself, looked forward to seeing the characters again, felt the filmmakers played it a bit too safe and thought it might be over for this cast too soon for my tastes. Oh well, as Steven Wright once said: “You can’t have everything. Where would you put it?” :)

So...this movie has a higher audience rating at RT than The Last Jedi.

Given the disconnect between the RT audience score of LJ and every other measure of audience reaction, combined with chatter on 4chan and Facebook, it's extremely likely that this score was gamed.

Also, Justice League was a fine movie.

That's the Tinfoil Hat Du Jour, yes.

Don't like some numbers? Fake News!
