I recently returned to the DS9 relaunch series after taking a break from it about four years ago. Since then I've been reading them at quite a clip, starting with the third Worlds of DS9 book, which of course led right into Warpath, which of course led right into Fearful Symmetry, which I just finished.
I must say at first I thought the 'flip-book' layout was a bit gimmicky, but now that I'm done I thought it worked very well, very appropriate to the two-story format, and I'm glad it was done.
As for the stories themselves, I enjoyed them very much. The Kira side was more plot-oriented and of course I'll need to continue onto the Soul Key to finish it, but I also enjoyed the Iliana side very much. Quite dark at the end, and takes Dukat's character to a place much darker than many Dukat fans could stomach, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't believe he was capable of such acts.
Anyway, a great chapter in the relaunch and I'm very much looking forward to the next one.
