Just Another Day...

I really love your Constellation. have you thought about different versions of her?

Her is one persons idea of a Kelvin-prise.

Now, I might have gone a bit different. I would have shaved the rear section down on the area above the impulse, and had supports going to either side. These would hold not nacelles, but forward facing spires, not unlike what we saw on the three-nacelle All Good Things ENT-D.

I actually would have boxy chines emerge from the sides of the secondary hull, farther behind the deflector dish than on the ENT-B, and these angle out then up for nacelle supports...

Tobais did a Kelvin prise, but he just added parts in a simple way and came away not liking it, as it didn't 'flow' as well as Kelvin in its "soviet submarine' gestalt.
Other attempts since then have been more organic.

I'm glad you like the Constellation, but I don't know what you mean by different versions. I kitbashed it into all kinds of stuff, over at my site, if you go look in the Starship projects page. :)

If you mean other ships in the same class, I haven't made any, but I know there are several out there. :)

IDK if anyone has told you this MadMan1701A, but the thumbnail you have on your projects page for the JJ-Prize would make some kickass box art for the plastic model of the ship...

As usual MadMan, your models are drool-worthy. You should be on the design team for the shows and movies if you aren't already, (what DO you do for a living?), cause this is truly spectacular.

Thanks, guys. :) That image actually needs to be updated, that's version 4 of the ship. It'd be awesome to be on the model box, though. :)

Thanks. :) I could only wish. :)

I'm actually a computer repair guy... I work for the local school district, supporting the desktop boxes, servers, networks, printers, copiers, and just about everything that plugs in. :) This 3D stuff is a nice diversion, for me. :)

Yea, it would be following a fine tradition of box cover art using earlier revisions.:bolian:
