Hey, everybody! I know I've been out of the loop for a while... I've had a HUGE project that I've been working on, in my off time.

Some you probably noticed I released a few things on my site a few days ago... That made me realize that I needed to make a new picture. :)

This one features my new drydock, and a couple of my favorite Madverse ships. The focal ship in the middle is the new version of the Valiant, that I built for my friend Karanua, who's done all of the lightwave conversions of my models.

I hope you guys like it. :) I think I'm up for some kind of a battle scene next...
 
Awesome. Just awesome.

I find the Constitution-like "1017" in the background intriguing. Is it supposed to be Constellation herself?

Wish I could bring myself to like its UI because Blender is obviously quite powerful. And the price is right, of course. ;)
 
Mad man you are the man !!!! love your work ? I think u should release a ships of the line 2011 madman universe calendar I'd buy it for sure ?

Yeah, Blender's interface is a mess, when you get started. Once you get used to it, though, it's all cool. :)

It's funny you mentioned the calendar... for Christmas last year, I had about 10 made up at an online print shop that I gave out as gifts. They turned out pretty cool. :)

On an unrelated note, I just discovered subsurface modelling. :) Version 6 of the Enterprise has begun. Keep an eye out for a WIP thread. :)

Hi madman I'd love to have one of your calendars sadly I live in the uk. ? But have u thought of doing the dreadnought class starship from the TOS I'd love to see your version of it keep it up love your work !!!!!

Man, there you go again. :) Beautiful image (background is really spectacular too). The contrasty lighting and "glossy" textures are Killer...Can't wait to see your space battle.
