Well, the TrekBBS is back up and running after it's refit, but the Art Challenge is in need of a little boost. So, to get the contest back in motion I'll post this month's challenge thread and the winner of May's Challenge, which is running a little behind, can host the voting thread if they so wish.
To that end...
Welcome to the 227th TrekBBS Fan Art Challenge and June's Theme, which was chosen by vote, is:
So we enter a world of Bricks and Mortar, Duranium and Stembolts. And if designing a whole buidling feels a little too intimidating, how about limiting it to just one wing, an entrance, a portico, quadrangle or cloister?
The Rules
You have until the end of the 1st July to post your final entries here.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or need more time, just let me know.
Looking forward to seeing your art. Have Fun!

World Buildings
Dust off your set square and set up your drafting board. Show us some of the Trek buildings we never got to see. What does the Temple of T'Panit look like? Where does the Department of Temporal Investigations hang up their clock? How about Station Salem-One prior to the attack? What did Zefram Cochrane High School look like when Geordi attended it? Or create your own building for your favorite species' education, business, religion, etc.
So we enter a world of Bricks and Mortar, Duranium and Stembolts. And if designing a whole buidling feels a little too intimidating, how about limiting it to just one wing, an entrance, a portico, quadrangle or cloister?
The Rules
- the artwork you submit should be created during the month of the challenge
- only one final image can be submitted (although it may contain multiple views)
- your final entry should be posted in this thread (although dedicated WIP threads are appreciated)

You have until the end of the 1st July to post your final entries here.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or need more time, just let me know.
Looking forward to seeing your art. Have Fun!
