First off: Thanks to all those that posted for the previous month's challenge.
Your mission if you chose to accept or not - to write about any Captain of the USS Io, the sister ship to the USS Titan. It can be any event in the mysterious (and unnamed) Captain's life being told of the USS Io, before the Captain gets to the USS Io, his/her promotion after the USS Io, someone even showing interest in applying to be the Captain of the Io, or even a brief communication to the Captain of the Io from some other ship.
Here are the Rules: (As borrowed from Rush's rules)
The word limit - a 7,000 word limit.
Do not reuse a tale previously posted in TrekBBS.
The stories must be your own work.
It must be in the Star Trek universe, with Star Trek characters - any era you wish. You may use established canon, the TrekLit chronology, and your own fanfic.
Post a link to your story on this thread, when you've finished it.
The submission deadline will be: Sunday, July 30th, 11:59 PM Hawaii Standard Time.
Voting will take place July 31st-August 1st. There will be a run-off, if there's a tie.
